Imported Nikon D850 Body drops to $3230

A new development after today’s Stock Status Tracker update. We have another discount on the Imported Grey Market Nikon D850 Body on eBay by eBay seller Deals All Year, it dropped from $3250 to $3230 with free shipping and a 1-year seller warranty. The new condition price at authorized Nikon USA dealers is $3300.

As far as the other tracked cameras, it is status quo. Both the Sony a7r III and Panasonic G9 are steadily available at authorized dealers, although individual sellers may go in and out.

On a meta note, this is the last time we have the Fuji X100S in the Stock Tracker. The camera has been steady in prices, both used and new for a while now, so it will be retired. However, I am saving the entries, so if something happens that necessitates its return, it will be very easy to bring it back!

IF there are any other cameras or lenses you’d like to see tracked, please leave a comment here or at the Stock Tracker or the online contact form

Refurbished Nikon D3300 with 18-55 and 55-200 (both DX VR II) for $399 after coupon

Refurbished Nikon D5500 w/18-55 DX VR for $450

Back to the eBay Deals we go, where the Buydig eBay store is offering the manufacturer refurbished Nikon D5500 with 18-55 DX VR for $450 with free shipping and a 90-day Nikon USA warranty. Limit up to three per eBay customer. Over 420 units have been sold so far per the eBay listing. This is in the black color scheme.

Or if you prefer a “take pictures with” entry-point into the Nikon DSLR system for about half that, Adorama is offering the refurbished Nikon D3100 with 18-55 for $229 with free shipping and a 90-day warranty in the red color scheme of the DSLR.

Refurbished Nikon D3100 red with 18-55 DX VR and 90-day warranty for $229

If you want a low-cost entry-point into the Nikon DSLR system, for a limited time, Adorama is offering the red color scheme of the manufacturer refurbished Nikon D3100 with 18-55 DX VR for $230 with free shipping and a 90-day Nikon USA warranty. This is an older DSLR obviously but it’s $229 🙂

(ENDED) Nikon D850 User Auction ends 3:32pm ET [$2950 as of OP]

This auction ended for $2950 with 62 bids placed…

A quick look at the Stock Status Tracker reminded us that today is the last day of the user-listed Nikon D850 body only auction. As of the time of writing (aka OP as in Original Post as in 10:26am ET), the price is $2950 with 62 bids. Shipping is an extra $13~.

Another Nikon D850 eBay Auction by User: $2800 but ends Monday

Another development from the update of the Stock Status Tracker is another “sale by user” for the Nikon D850 body only. It is in USED condition and an Auction-style eBay Listing. It is currently going for $2800 with 59 bids. It ships from North Carolina for $13, from a 100% eBay user (91 transactions). The auction ends on Monday at 3:32pm eastern. Mayhaps the Superbowl will distract some and the price won’t skyrocket 🙂

In other stock update action, the Panasonic G9 body only is back in-stock at B&H Photo for its starting price of $1700 with free shipping…

(ENDED) KEH Camera Coupon: 8% off USED Canon and Nikon Gear

This 2-day coupon expired…

Canon and Nikon fans, it’s your time at KEH Camera with a two day coupon running until Sunday 2/4/18 at 11:59pm eastern. Coupon code CANNIK02A gets you 8% off used Canon and Nikon camera gear. As usual, their shopping cart is the ultimate decider on what is eligible. Separately, the KEH Camera website offers free shipping on orders of $49 or more (continental 48 US States).

Imported Nikon D850 Body drops to $3250

The second development from the just-updated Stock Status Tracker is that the new condition imported grey market Nikon D850 body only by eBay seller “Deals All Year” has now dropped to $3250. The new condition at authorized Nikon USA dealers is $3300 (and still hard to find).

Nikon D7500 w/18-55 & & 70-300 & Extended Warranty & Extras for $1600 (Costco members) or $1680 (non-members)

If you happen to want both the Nikon D7500 APS-C DSLR and the 18-55 DX VR and 70-300 f4.5-6.3G VR AF-P lenses, Costco has them in a bundle for $1600 with free shipping. You also get a 2-year extended warranty on the camera body (not the lenses) along with a 32GB SD card, an extra battery, a Nikon branded gagdet bag and a Nikon online class.

Non-members can buy this online with a 5% surcharge, which in this case is $80 more. Given that an annual Costco membership is $60 (Gold Star individual or Business member), it makes sense to sign up for a membership instead of paying the $80 non-member surcharge. Occasionally they have new member promotions that give you some freebies for your first membership year. Then with a membership you buy a mountain of toilet paper and “tp” all your frenemies 😉

This bundle may also be available at your local Costco store but they don’t have a store look-up option (yet???) on their website.

Nikon D850 Hunt: Two eBay Auction-style Listings in progress

Another thing that surfaced during the Stock Status Update is that there are two live classic bid-style auctions on the Nikon D850 body only running on eBay and as fate would have it, they both end a few hours apart from each other. The listings end next Tuesday though, so the prices will definitely go up by then.

These are sold by individual eBay users, not camera retailers…

+ Auction #1 (eBay) in New-Other condition
+ $1675 with 44 bids as of blog-posting time

+ Auction #2 (eBay) in NEW condition
+ $1852 with 1 bid as of blog-posting time

Refurbished Nikon D750 Body w/90-Day W for $1230

If you don’t have to have the new condition Nikon D750, then you can get a solid discount (without any free accessories) if you go manufacturer refurbished…

… to the eBay Deals we go, where the BuyDIG eBay store is offering the manufacturer refurbished Nikon D750 body only for $1230 with free shipping and a 90-day Nikon USA warranty. Limit up to three per customer at the sale price. Over 800 units have been sold so far from this listing per eBay.

We have to explore new ways of funding in 2018, because as things are right now, considering the time and resources put into this through the years, it is losing money 🙁

(ENDED) Nikon D3400 with 18-55 DX VR for $349

Imported Nikon D850 Body “drops” to $3400

I just updated the Stock Status Tracker and there is a “discount” on the limited availability premium of the Nikon D850. The camera’s official price is $3300 at authorized dealers, but it went over $3500 by importers who had it in-stock. Now the “limited availability premium” is shrinking, it’s “only” +$100, you can get it in imported grey-market condition with a 1-year seller warranty (not Nikon USA) by eBay seller Deals All Year (New Jersey) for $3400 with free shipping.

Personally I would wait for the Nikon USA authorized dealers, but I am not the Master of the Universe (I am barely the master of my thoughts), I can’t decide for everybody else 🙂

Imported Nikon D850 Body w/1-YR Seller W for $3775

If you really don’t want to wait for the Nikon D850 to come in-stock from authorized Nikon USA dealers for $3300 [check the Stock Status Tracker for that], and you are willing to pay a limited availability premium, and get a 1-year seller warranty (instead of a Nikon USA warranty), then…

… to the eBay Deals we go where eBay seller “Deals All Year” is offering the new condition Nikon D850 body only for $3775 with free shipping and a 1-year warranty from the seller, not Nikon USA. Limit one per buyer.

They sold 54 of these, so temptation won over 54 people so far. Personally I wouldn’t buy it, but I’m not the master of the universe, other people have different preferences and priorities 🙂

Nikon D7500 Body drops to $1147 (with freebies)

Sunday is here, and with it we have a new round of Nikon DSLR instant savings, including the first official discount of the D7500 APS-C camera. The body only goes for $1147 with a FREE 32GB Sandisk Extreme card and Ruggard shoulder bag and 2% promotional rewards (around $23 to be used in future purchases) at B&H Photo.

Or if you are interested in a “take pictures with” kit, the D7500 with 18-140 DX VR goes for $1447 with the same two freebies and 2% promotional rewards (about $29 to be used in future purchases at B&H Photo).

Refurbished Nikon D3400 w/18-55 for $300 [add 70-300 and $20GC for $400]

Back to the eBay Deals where there are two competing “take pictures with” Nikon D3400 APS-C DSLR manufacturer refurbished kits from BuyDig with a 90-day Nikon USA warranty.

For $300, you can get the D3400 w/18-55 DX VR with free shipping.

Or for $400, you can get the D3400 Two Lens Kit which adds the 70-300 DX lens and a $20 eBay gift card. So that’s the $100 trade off!

These are currently only available in the black color scheme.

Speaking of eBay, the BuyDig Ebay store is offering the new condition LG 29UM59A-P 29-Inch IPS WFHD 2560 x 1080 Ultrawide Freesync Monitor 2017 Model for $180 with free shipping. Limit five per customer. Over 1530 units have been sold so far from this listing per the eBay statistics over there.

Refurbished Nikon Coolpix B500 (40x optical) for $160

Zoom zoom to the eBay deals we go where the Beach Camera eBAY store is offering the manufacturer refurbished Nikon Coolpix B500 superzoom in the red color scheme for $160 with free shipping and a 90-day Nikon USA warranty. You can buy up to five per customer at this price.

This is a 40x optical zoom camera and it is powered by four AA batteries, so a plus for fans of rechargeables. Speaking of superzooms, there are a number of active superzoom deals at the moment, a good chunk of which are from Panasonic.

Nikon D5600 with 18-55 and 70-300 for $800 [corrected]

CORRECTION: the lens in the two lens kit is the 70-300mm DX, not the old 75-300. I typed 75-300 in every single mention below out of habit 🙂 Thanks to one of our readers for the alert in the comments!

On the “Take Pictures With” two-lens kit front, the new condition Nikon D5600 with the 18-55 and 70-300 lenses is on sale for $797 with free shipping at authorized dealers such as Adorama (with free accessories) and B&H Photo (with free accessories) and Amazon itself (limit 3).

The D5600 body only goes for $650, while the D5600 w/18-55 goes for $750. So you are getting the 70-300 for an extra $50 versus the standard 1-lens kit. This being the holiday season, even if you don’t need the 18-55 and 70-300 for yourself, you can use them in a gift bundle for friends and family, eg bundle them with a Nikon DSLR you don’t need or use often.

The D5600 body only went for $650 in early November as well when I posted the APS-C DSLR price charts.

If you don’t need the new condition version though, you can wait for another manufacturer refurbished sale. It went for $620 at least a couple of times in the past.

PRO TIP: the new WordPress search engine is very fast and efficient, so if you want to look up favorite brands or see previous deals on cameras, use the search box in the blog header or sidebar! It even picks up new posts in almost real time!

Refurbished Nikon D3400 w/18-55 & 70-300 & $20 eBay Gift Card & 90-day Warranty for $400

Since we mentioned it last week, this offer added a $20 eBay Gift Card to the mix, while keeping the same price…

To the eBAY Deals we go, where the BuyDIG eBAY store is offering it in manufacturer refurbished condition for $400 with free shipping, a $20 eBay Gift Card, and a 90-day Nikon USA warranty. You can buy up to five kits per customer. The red color scheme is sold out, but the standard black color scheme is still available. Over 1500 units have been sold from this listing so far.

The new condition Nikon D3400 two-lens kit with the 18-55 DX VR and 70-300 DX non-VR goes for $500 at authorized dealers with a variety of different freebies offered at each retailer, such as Amazon by Amazon itself (with extras including a 60 inch AB tripod) and Adorama (with extras) and B&H Photo (with extras) and BuyDIG (with extras).

Nikon D850 re-listed at Amazon, still TOOS

The Nikon D850 listings (option to pre-order from Amazon itself) disappeared last night at the Amazon website but as of the time of writing, they are pre-orderable again, in the all-encompassing and all-mysterious “temporarily out of stock” status.

The D850 remains in Pre-Order status at B&H Photo and in “Coming Soon” at Adorama.

Refurbished Nikon Coolpix A900 (35x optical) for $190

We zoom back on the eBAY DEALS where the BuyDIG eBAY store strikes again, offering the manufacturer refurbished Nikon Coolpix A900 (35x optical zoom) for $190 with free shipping and a 90-day Nikon USA warranty. Limit up to five cameras per eBAY user during sale. Over 300 of them have been sold through this listing per the eBay page over there.

In new condition at authorized Nikon dealers, this goes for $379 such as Amazon itself and Adorama and B&H Photo.

Nikon and Canon Cyber Monday at B&H

The Cyber Monday party continues at B&H with two nicely organized pages that outline their featured Nikon sales and their featured Canon sales. These are a mix of DSLRs, lenses, fixed lens cameras, and in the case of Canon mirrorless too. Click on the “Load More” at the bottom of the Canon listing to see more options!

Refurbished Nikon D3400 w/18-55 + 90-Day W for $300

The new condition Nikon D3400 with 18-55 DX VR goes for $400 at authorized dealers, or $500 in the two lens kit. BuyDIG offers the two lens kit in manufacturer refurbished condition for $400.

BUT if you prefer the D3400 with 18-55mm kit instead of the two-lens kit, it goes for $400 in new condition at authorized dealers, or you can get it in manufacturer refurbished condition for $300 with free shipping and a 90-day USA warranty from the BuyDIG eBAY store. Limit five per customer.

Refurbished Nikon D3400 w/18-55 & 70-300 for $400

The new condition Nikon D3400 two-lens kit with the 18-55 DX VR and 70-300 DX non-VR goes for $500 at authorized dealers as part of the Black Friday festivities, with a variety of freebies at each retailer, such as Adorama and B&H Photo (with extras) and BuyDIG.

But if you want to save another $100, to the eBAY Deals we go, where the BuyDIG eBAY store is offering it in manufacturer refurbished condition for $400 with free shipping and a 90-day Nikon USA warranty. You can buy up to three kits per customer. The red color scheme is sold out, but the standard black color scheme is still available.

Speaking of eBAY, you can pay $90 and get a $100 Barnes and Noble Gift Card with free shipping. This is a plastic gift card delivered by mail. Limit up to three peer customer.

UPDATE: here’s another eBAY deal, the official Best Buy eBAY store is offering the new condition Targus City Laptop Backpack for $10 with free shipping.

Nikon D500 Body + FREE MB-D17 Battery Grip for $1800

The Nikon D500 dropped $100 since our previous check, but not only that, it gained a new friend, the Nikon MB-D17 battery grip for FREE! So $1800 gets you the D7200 body only with said MB-D17 battery grip and freebies that vary by retailer. This time Amazon is offering freebies (128GB Samsung EVO green microSD, bag), along with Adorama and B&H Photo offering their own sets of freebies.

The same promotion is also available for the D500 with 16-80mm kit which goes for $2400. It is interlinked in the listings of all the above retailers.

Nikon D7200 body only drops to $797

The Nikon D7500 body only remains at $1250, but having the previous generation model around gave Nikon the flexibility to create a discount since their prices were artificially too close to begin with. To cut a long story short, the Nikon D7200 body only dropped from $1000 to $800 since ten days ago. The other kits get parallel discounts. I don’t mention them all because it would take forever to do these posts.

So the $800 price, or $797 to be more specific, is available by Amazon itself (5% back with Prime VISA, or Discover Q4 cashback; I won’t repeat these in every post because it will take forever to post anything!) and Adorama (with freebies) and B&H Photo (with freebies).

Internets Price Match Nikon D3400 Black Friday deals

The Black Friday Ads have the Nikon D3400 with 18-55 for $400 and the two lens kit (with 70-300 DX) for $500, but you don’t have to wait for the actual Black Friday, the internets have already price-matched those offers as follows:

+ D3400 with 18-55 for $400 at Adorama (with extras) and BuyDIG

+ D3400 with 18-55 and 70-300 DX for $500 at Adorama (with extras) and B&H Photo (with extras) and BuyDIG (with extras)

+ D3400 RED with 18-55 and 70-300 DX and 35/1.8 DX for $700 at Adorama (with extras)

Nikon D7200 body for $800, Two Lens Kit $1000, w/18-140 $1100

The Nikon D7200 is another one of the Black Friday Ads DSLRs and sure enough the internets have already price-matched it as follows:

+ D7200 body for $800 at Adorama (with extras) and B&H Photo (with extras)

+ D7200 with 18=55 and 70-300 DX for $1000 at Adorama (with extras)

+ D7200 with 18-140 DX VR for $1100 at B&H Photo (with extras)

Refurbished Nikon D7200 w/90-Day W for $650

The Nikon D500 APS-C flagship currently goes for $1800 with a free MB-D17 battery grip in new condition at authorized dealers. But if you want a serious Nikon APS-C DSLR while almost 1/3rd of that price…

… then to the eBay Deals we go, where the BuyDIG eBAY store is offering the manufacturer refurbished Nikon D7200 body only for $650 with free shipping and a 90-day Nikon USA warranty. Limit up to three per customer.

New Offer for Nikon D750 kits: FREE MB-D16 Battery Grip, $80 Hiker Backpack and 128GB Samsung EVO microSD

Last night when I posted the Nikon D750 Free Battery Grip promotions, Amazon’s humans, hybrids, and bots were asleep and did not have their own offers running.

But as of this recheck, Amazon created its own bundle, it’s a nice one, you get a FREE $80 AmazonBasics Hiker Camera and Laptop Backpack (link is for reference only; you don’t add it to shopping cart separately), and a 128GB Samsung EVO Select microSD (with matching SD adapter included), along of course with the Nikon MB-D16 Multi Battery Power Pack/Grip for D750.

So the bundles are, the Nikon D750 body only with the MB-D16 battery grip, AB Hiker Backpack and 128GB Samsung EVO microSD for $1500 or the Nikon D750 with 24-120 with the same three freebies for $2000.

All items will be included in the shopping cart automatically and priced accordingly. Amazon finally figured out how to do consumer-friendly bundles 🙂

If you pay with an Amazon Chase Prime VISA credit card, or the Amazon house store credit card, you get 5% back as a statement credit, which is a pretty nice amount considering the price of the cameras, $75 for the body only or $100 for the “with 24-120”.

If you are not a Prime member, but you have the Amazon Chase VISA credit card, you get 3% back as a statement credit, still a solid $45 or $60. Or if you have a Discover credit card, they are running 5% caskback promotions for Q4 of 2017. Note however that the maximum is $1500 per credit card for the quarter (October 1st until December 31st).

I suppose that’s one of the benefits of Amazon having its own brands of products like AmazonBasics, they can bundle them up as they please.

Good until 11/15/17 (or earlier if sold out), BuyDig is offering the manufacturer refurbished Nikon D5600 with 18-55 AF-P DX VR for $599 with free shipping and the usual 90-day Nikon refurbished warranty.

The new condition version of this kit goes for $750, so you are saving $150 by going refurbished. For a refresher on APS-C camera price ranges, check this week’s all new APS-C DSLRs Price Chart.

YMMV: $100 off the Nikon D850 IF You Apply and Get Approved for the Amazon Rewards VISA card

This is a YMMV promotion as Amazon’s AI bots have a mind of their own!!!

While checking the Nikon D850 stock status at Amazon I noticed a promotion that offers you a $100 discount IF you apply for an Amazon Rewards VISA credit card (by Chase) and Get Approved for it, and use the new card to pay the Nikon D850 [which remains in “Temporarily Out of Stock” status]. You don’t have to be a Prime member for this offer.

To see this offer however you may have to be logged on to your Amazon account, and NOT have an Amazon Rewards VISA card (by Chase). I only saw this offer on the non-Prime Amazon account I use to check prices/offers for non-Prime members. My Prime account (already has the Amazon Rewards VISA) was not offered this. Looking at the page without being logged on to an Amazon account also did not show the offer.

So this is a big YMMV.

If you are eligible for this offer, it looks like this [screenshot below]:

This has to be sold and shipped by Amazon itself, not 3rd-party sellers.

Non-Prime members get 3% credit cards rewards on Amazon purchases with the Amazon Rewards VISA, while Prime members get 5%. This is another one of the many Prime Benefits.

Nikon D850 body goes in TOOS status!

Breaking!!! The Nikon D850 body only is currently in “Temporarily out of stock” (TOOS) status at Amazon by Amazon itself. Limit three per customer… Previously the estimate was “2-4 months”, so that’s an improvement…

“TOOS” is an all-encompassing thing, so it’s hard to tell when you’ll get it…

All the options at the Amazon listing are in “TOOS”, which makes sense, since these are just DSLR + Lens sold by Amazon, they are not official Nikon kits, so basically once you have the DSLR, you have all the other combos as well [unless any of those lenses are unavailable].

B&H Photo remains in pre-order status, and Adorama in backorder status.

The eBay Search Results continue to be filled with sellers charging A LOT more. If you hate this practice, make a note of their names and never buy from them 🙂

The Stock Status Tracker has been updated, and the Nikon D850 listing moved to the top. For the reasons explained above, I’m not creating additional entries for the D850 + Lens combos since they all depend on the D850 body only stock status.
