Last night we got the new Canon 5D IV and lenses, today it is Fuji’s turn to have new products available for pre-order, starting with the brand new 23mm f2 XF R WR lens available in silver or black (but not in a Las Vegas Raiders uniform) with a pre-order price of $449 at B&H Photo and Adorama. Fuji launched a new round of X-System Instant Savings featuring a variety of camera and lenses. Among them, the Fuji X-T1 kits get a free VG-XT1 battery grip. This is included automatically by B&H Photo while the offer is running, you don’t have to enter any coupons or submit any rebates to receive it. If you are not in a hurry to receive it (it is “Temporarily On Backorder”), Adorama is offering the Fuji 14mm f2.8R lens along with a handful of free items for $499 with free shipping. The free items are a 58mm ProOptic filter kit, the Corel software bundle, a lens soft case, a cap tether, a lens shade, and the obligatory cleaning kit.
There’s about one week left in the current iteration of the Fuji X-System Instant Rebates featuring the X-T1, X-T10 and X100T digital cameras and a handful of primes and zoom lenses. As of the time of writing, there is no pre-order option, but pre-orders will open on June 9 in 2016. Fuji has a new Fuji XF 2x TC WR Teleconverter coming up, with a starting price of $450 that is compatible with the XF 50-140mm f/2.8 R LM OIS WR and XF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 R LM OIS WR lenses. Likewise, the new Fuji LH-XF23 Lens Hood for the Fuji XF 23mm f/1.4 R lens will start at $70.
PS: I don’t know if camera manufacturers now seem to think they are Apple at the height of the iPhone hype with all these multi-stage announcement/pre-orders, but what do I know? 🙂
This is an “if the stars align” type of a deal, if you need the Fuji X-T10 camera, and the 18-55 f2.8-4 R OIS LM lens and the 35mm f2 WR lens, you can get them all together as a bundle for $1249 with free expedited shipping at B&H Photo in either the silver-black kit or the black kit… In comparison, the X-T10 with 18-55 kit goes for $950 on its own and the 35/2 lens goes for $400 on its own. The X-T10 body only goes for $650, and the 18-55 lens goes for $500 on its own…
CORRECTION: the 35mm lens is a 35mm f2, not a 35mm f2.8. Thanks to Mike in the Comments for pointing it out!
