This is the update that was promised, the previously mentioned small AmazonBasics camera bag, currently going for $1.99 (limit 90, part of the Add-On program) has arrived. It is indeed a small bag, for small thin P&S cameras. Most older P&S cameras are probably too thick or too big to fit. It is perhaps best suited if you want to store memory cards, flash drives, small camera remote controls and other small accessories and things you don’t want to lose – in their own padded zippered bag.

The small AmazonBasics Compact Camera Case was going for $2.57 when we mentioned it last week. As of the time of writing, it has dropped to $2.09, and Amazon has removed the typical limit of 30 per customer. You can buy up to 90 of these per shopping cart. It is still part of the Add-On program, so you need to place an order of $25+ in physical goods shipped/fulfilled by Amazon, otherwise the shopping cart won’t let you buy it. I am also keeping an eye towards the ever-increasing number of other AmazonBasics camera bags in case they too get discounted.

This ships in frustration free packaging, which means it may get shipped in the sturdy cardboard box that some furstration-free packaging items ship in. There are conflicting dimensions in the product description, but the pictures tell the story, this is a small bag for Elph-sized cameras or to store small easy to lose accessories or (already protected) memory cards. It has a carabiner clip, and a tiny external zippered pocket.

There is a however, this item is part of the Amazon Add-ON program, which means you have to place an order of $25+ in order to be allowed to buy it. The restriction applies to all Amazon customers, including Prime members. You can reach $25+ with any combination of eligible physical products that ship from or are fulfilled by Amazon. You can also reach $25+ with ten of these (based on the current price).

Free shipping with a $35+ order for non-Prime members. Prime members need to place a $25+ order because of the Add-On restriction.
