The Pixel 3a gets almost the same camera score (one point difference) at DxoMark. But since the Pixel 3 came out last year, a number of newer smartphones came out that scored higher on Dxomark with the Huawei P30 PRO and the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G leading the way.
Needless to say, the Dxomark is just one measurement of camera performance as the real-world often disagrees with the lab-world 😉
