Groupon is trying to tempt new customers to try their service with coupon code WELCOME that gets you $10 off a purchase of $25 or more from the Groupon website. Most offers are eligible but some local offers and consumer electronics are not eligible. Must be used on the desktop or mobile website, not the app. Limit one use per customer. This is a good way to try out different photo print services. Use the search bar over there to search for things like “photo” or “canvas” or “custom photo book” or photography classes or wood or metal prints and such. Their search bar has auto-complete so it will give you pointers.

If you are a fan or curious about Shutterfly, Groupon has a limited time coupon on their Shutterfly Promotion. The regular promotion is a 50% off, eg “Pay $20, Get $40 to spend at Shutterfly”. The coupon SFLY20 drops the price you pay by 20% off. So it becomes “Pay $16, Get $40 to spend” or “Pay $24 Get $60 to spend” or “Pay $40, Get $100 to spend” or “Pay $60 Get $150 to spend”.

Free store pickup. For delivery to your address of choice, shipping fees apply (depending on what shipping promotions they may have on their website).
Whether as gifts or as promotional material that is front and center (at least during the colder months of the year), Groupon is offering 30% off the current prices of Photo Blankets by Collage.com when you enter coupon code SPRING30 over there. They have four different options, with sizes ranging from 30×40 inch to 60×80 inch. Maximum discount with the coupon is $50. Maximum three redemptions per Groupon user. Don’t send your Discover credit card statement straight to the shredder! In this month’s statements delivered by mail, you may have a coupon for $20 off a $20+ order at Shutterfly. The coupon code is unique per customer from the looks of it (long winded blend of letters and numbers). This is a colorful 4×6 inch type of a coupon included in the envelope, it is not on the actual statement. I don’t know if this is included in every statement or only some. Shipping is additional. Redemption instructions are included on the back of the coupon. Expires 12/28/15.
UPDATE: a similar offer may be available through the Panera Rewards program. This may (have) arrive(d) in an email titled “a holiday surprise for you!”. It’s a $20 off $20+ as well, with a 12/29/15 expiration date. The coupon code is a long combination of letters and numbers which typically means it is unique to each person.

Local Deals are of interest to photographers because a lot of the Photo Prints (custom books, posters, canvas, photo gifts, etc). Search for keywords of interest, or filter by Local under various sub-categories (Personalized, Shopping, etc) are under Local Deals. One of the phrases making the rounds in pop culture circles is “pictures, or didn’t happen”. Well, in photography, it’s perhaps “prints, or it didn’t happen” 🙂 Which brings us to a new prints sale at the Adorama Pix website. Prices start at $1 for 8×10 inches, $2 for 11×14″, $6 for 16×20″, and more. Prices vary based on paper and other options. The discounts are factored in on their website, no coupon code needed. Sale ends 11/17/15.
That pestery free Shutterfly offer you often see at Best Buy is now propagating across the internets to Amazon. They have launched their own Shutterfly promotion. The 8×8-inch Photo Book is free, but shipping is extra. Details on how this works at the aforelinked page. To cut a long story short, if you purchase a qualifying item, you will receive an email from Amazon with details (and your own Shutterfly redemption code).

You are not having a deja vu. This is a new promotion! Coupon code SCREAM3 gets you 20% off Local Deals and 5% off Groupon Goods offers at Groupon. The coupon code expires on 10/27/15 at the end of day.
The coupon is limited to one unit per transaction. During this promotional period, you can use the coupon on up to three Local Deals and up to three Goods offers. The maximum discount is $50 per transaction. Some exclusions apply (I haven’t memorized them …yet).
Camera and photo gear are under the Electronics section of Groupon Goods, so they are eligible for 5% off with the SCREAM3 coupon.
On the other hand, many of the photo print offers (canvas prints, custom photo books, wood and metal prints, custom photo gifts (mugs, phone cases, etc)) are under the Local Deals, so they would be eligible for 20% off with coupon SCREAM3. How they were coded in the system is what determines the discount, so it’s possible that the logical category does not match the physical category. Their shopping cart is the ultimate decider…
While finding Goods (camera gear) offers is fairly simple, finding the various photo-print offers under Local Deals is a bit more tricky. If you are not familiar, start at the Groupon Home page, then click on the “Local” option in the menu bar up top. The local links vary depending on each person’s city, so I can’t create general-use local links.
Many of the photo print offers are located under the “Personalized” sub-category of Local. Some are under “Shopping”. Photography-related classes are under “Online Learning”.
