Samsung is back with yet another new product, this time they are dipping into the world of two-input USB 3.0 flash drives. One side is full-size USB, the other side is micro-USB, so you can use the same storage in computers and phones/tablets alike. A quick way to transfer files if you don’t want to setup over-the-air connections between your devices. The phone/tablets must needs support USB OTG (OTG = On The Go, USB Host). This requires both the necessary hardware and the necessary support from the phone’s software/firmware. Check the interwebs if you are not certain whether your phone can support this.
To cut a long story short, this 64GB Samsung USB 3.0 Flash Drive Duo, model MUF-64CB/AM, is on sale for $23 at Amazon by Amazon itself with a limit of 20 per customer. The usual free shipping terms apply (free for Prime or with $35+ order). This is so new, it has no customer reviews yet. As with many Samsung flash storage products, it is marked as Water proof, Shock proof, magnet proof, temp proof, and X-ray proof with a 5-year warranty.
PS: I haven’t used this one, so I don’t know if it’s possible to connect both devices at the same time. I previously used one from another company (I can’t find it right now to test this), but I think you have to connect the devices one at a time, but I could be wrong.
