If you like to transfer/backup files between phones/tablets and computers and other full-size USB devices, the 64GB PNY DUO-LINK USB 3.0 OTG Flash Drive is on sale for $15 with a limit of up to ten per customer at Amazon by Amazon itself. On the same listing you will also find the 128GB version for $30, with the same limit of up to ten per customer.
This has two connectors, a full-size USB 3.0, along with a micro-USB on the other end. It supports USB OTG, so as long as your phone/tablet supports this in both hardware and software/firmware, you should be able to connect to it from either device. As far as I know, you can’t use as a “land bridge”, eg use both connections at the same time (although I haven’t tried it with this particular model).
The usual free shipping terms apply, Prime or $25+/$49+.
Meanwhile according to the lightning deals schedule, the Lightning connector version of this is scheduled to go live on Tuesday at 3am ET. It is not currently on sale.
Speaking of USB flash drives, the USB 2.0 16GB Sandisk Cruzer Blade CZ50 goes for $5.50 but it is an Add-On item, so you need a $25+ order in order to buy it. Storage has dropped enough in price now that the material and product overhead becomes a bigger cost factor. In other words, you can get better bang for the buck with higher storage options.
