These were an Adorama daily deal. The daily deal ended but I forgot to check whether the price of these changed or not. Fast-forward to now, and I rechecked the price, and the price remains the sale price, or it went up and now it is down again ~ I do not know. What matters is that as of the time of writing, the sale price is alive and kicking… Since this is now an “organic sale”, and not a daily deal, I have no clue what will happen to it going forward…

Open-box Panasonic S1 with S 24-105 f4 Macro OIS for $2399 [with 1-year warranty]

For $2399, B&H Photo is offering the open-box Panasonic S1 with S 24-105mm f4 Macro OIS with free US shipping and a 1-year warranty.

This is $100 lower than the price of the new condition S1 body-only, while the new condition S1 with 24-105 kit goes for $1000 more ($3500). So by going open-box, it’s like getting the 24-105 lens for free. The lens on its own goes for $1300 new condition or $1038 used.

A macro and stabilized lens with constant aperture and versatile zoom range! Competitive but pricey says DXoMark, better than the Canon L 24-105 but below the Shiguma ART. Since you are not paying $1300 for it stand-alone (or +$1000 for the kit), it’s not as pricey! Sign me up!
