The eBay action never stops, the Best Buy eBay store is offering the 128GB Sandisk Ultra Fit USB 3.0 Flash Drive (Type A, aka the “standard”/”normal” USB connector) for $28 with free shipping. Limit one unit per customer during this sale.
These are handy if you want to use them on a laptop or front desktop port and don’t want the USB flash drive stick like a sore thumb. You can also use them with various media players and networking/networked-storage devices or media players that have full size USB ports. Since they are small, you can also attach them to smartphones or tablets that support USB OTG (you have to use your own microUSB to USB OTG or USB-C to USB cable).
Speaking of storage, microSD is another way to feed extra storage to devices without sticking out, and the Samsung EVO Select U3 line is on sale at Amazon for $13 (32GB) or $23 (64GB) or $45 (128GB). They include a full size adapter, they have a 10-year warranty (Samsung is going to be around in ten years for sure [* other things equal]), and promise up to 100MB/sec and up to 60MB/sec in Read and Write speeds (other things equal).
Speaking of storage matters, the 3TB Seagate IronWolf NAS SATA 6Gb/s NCQ 64MB Cache 3.5-Inch Internal Hard Drive (ST3000VN007) is on sale for $95 by Amazon itself.
