YMMV: $25 back after a $100+ Sony Store/Online purchase with AMEX

This may be a targeted offer for some American Express credit card holders. I have no way of knowing how many people may be seeing this. When you logon to your AMEX account, look for the tab that says “Amex Offers For You”. One of the offers there is $25 back in statement credit when you make a purchase of $100 or more at Sony brick and mortar stores or the online Sony store. You must claim the offer (by clicking “Save Offer”) and then making the purchase. The promotion ends by 2/3/15. One credit per customer during this promotional period… Obnoxiously annotated screenshot crop right below…

Terms and conditions pasted after the jump for your convenience…

“Offer valid in-store at Sony and online at store.sony.com. Purchases through store.sony.com are the only online purchases included. Offer not valid for purchases through any other Sony online sites. Excludes Sony Entertainment, Sony Pictures, and B2B purchases. Not valid outside the US. Puerto Rico, USVI, and US territories are excluded. If you order an item during the offer period but it is not sent to you until after 2/3/15, it may not count towards determining whether your purchase qualifies for the offer. Must add offer to Card and use same Card to redeem. Limit 1 statement credit per American Express Card across all American Express offer channels. Statement credit will appear on your billing statement within 90 days after 2/3/15, provided that American Express receives information from the merchant about your qualifying purchase. Note that American Express may not receive information about your qualifying purchase from merchant until all items from your qualifying purchase have been provided/shipped by merchant. Statement credit may be reversed if qualifying purchase is returned/cancelled. If American Express does not receive information that identifies your transaction as qualifying for the offer, you will not receive the statement credit. For example, your transaction will not qualify if it is not made directly with the merchant. In addition, in most cases, you will not receive the statement credit if your transaction is made with an electronic wallet or through a third party or if the merchant uses a mobile or wireless card reader to process it.”
