UPDATE: one of our anon readers (thanks!) pointed out via email that when you go to the “Protection & Services” tab, it says that the warranty is only 90 days labor instead of a full year. It should be one year. I don’t know if it is a typo or what. That page is an upsell for their Geek Poser Squad protection extended warranties… Other Sony cameras there (eg Sony a6000 have 1 year parts and labor)…

The “special” is the $50 gift card. The freebies are added automatically to your shopping cart while this promotion is running.
This Best Buy offer is only slightly better than the on-going promotions. For example, at B&H Photo you get 2% promotional rewards (= $32). At Adorama you get a free holster case, Pro Optic UV filter, 16GB Toshiba SD and cleaning kit.
PS: you would think a tech/electronics company like Best Buy would be able to fix by now that stupid countdown clock on their daily deals page that gets confused during the midnight transition between the Eastern and Pacific time zones 🙂
