Amazon time limits seem to be subject to change without notice. Or, may be subject to a bogus notice. I clicked on four of the Bonai batteries for $9.87 at about 8:32 p.m. PT. The product page showed the price would change in 27 minutes and some number of seconds. I left the batteries in my cart and looked at some other things. At 8:58 PT I went to my shopping cart and . . . surprise! The batteries now cost $12.99. I checked the product page quickly; same there.. I checked time on satellite TV, it’s 9 on the nose, same as on my PC.
Amazon should honor an item’s price when placed in the cart for a reasonable time. I think at least an hour would be reasonable, I know a half hour or less would be reasonable. But, if Amazon can’t do that, it should at least stick to its own time-left notice as of when the item was placed in the shopping cart. Shopping Amazon should not be a “now you see it (sale price),” and “now you don’t.” Amazon should calibrate it’s clocks or programming and stick its own stated deadlines.
This little surprise comes a few weeks after another: a coupon code that failed to trigger the stated discount on the checkout page. I did get a customer service rep to make that one right. Yes, I’m annoyed. Batteries order and another item canceled.
