This was part of the Camera and Photo Deals Upcoming deals box, but is not in the Gold Box deals box, so this perhaps explains why it isn’t a daily deal?
ORIGINAL POST: According to the Lightning Deals schedule starting at 3am Eastern Time on Tuesday 11/18/14, there is going to be a lightning deal (perhaps even one of the main deals of the day given the start time) on the Olympus E-M5 body only with Messenger Bag kit. The sales price wil be revealed when it goes live. The teaser says “save $400” but does not provide a reference point. The price as of blog-posting time (Monday 3:50pm ET) is $600. Looks like it’s the same deal on now – 400 bucks off a list of 999, whee!
It will probably be lower when it goes live. There was a similar situation a few weeks ago with one of the Sony mirrorless cameras, and the lightning deal ended up being lower than the price-match/sale price they had before it went live. But it is the chaos and disorder of the Black Friday holiday shopping season, so we can’t really know for sure until it goes live. I wonder if there was ever a case where a sale price actually went up 🙂
