There are recurring offers that “bribe” you with a $10 Amazon credit to change your default Amazon credit or debit card to a specific bank and type. I’ve seen this happen with various, eg Discover and Citibank. These offers usually appear in the Shopping Cart, and also in internal ad banners while you are browsing around the Amazon website.
Especially this time of the year, it pays to keep an eye out for out of the blue offers. Some may be targeted. A lot of these offers can be “once per account”, so if you had previously taken advantage of it, you may not be eligible for it again. Or at least until they reset their counters or change how they do it 🙂
