Simple primes are getting some new gear love as well, Canon has ushered out their new EF 50mm f1.8 STM available for pre-order with a late May 2015 release estimate for $125 at Adorama and B&H Photo and Amazon by Amazon itself (limit 2).
PS: if you are shopping at Amazon, do not confuse the new STM lens with the previous 50mm f1.8 II non-STM that also goes for $125 now and is in-stock.
