The most expensive one even has the AT&T 3G model (with free data for the express purpose of downloading Kindle ebooks and doing Kindle-related housekeeping). If you are reading text-only ebooks and you don’t plan to download thousands of ebooks on it at the same time, you should be okay with the older models.
