Adorama has just launched a Lens Sale featuring brands big and small, a variety of manufacturers, featuring 30+ lenses and mount adapters, along with other related camera accessories. Due to time constraints I can’t go through them right now and post individual deals, that will have to wait for tomorrow. But you don’t have to wait for me, you can check the sale on your own if you wish 🙂
Great savings there, but mostly for pro’s, lottery winners and other independently wealthy photo camera buffs.
Here’s a suggestion borrowed from restaurant reviews. Not that you should always have to go look, but if you do look and notice a sale such as this one consists mostly or entirely of very pricey gear, it would be helpful to include “$$$$” in the headline. Or, if the overall character of the sale is mid- to high-priced, maybe $$$. Bargain to mid-priced would be $$. Rock-bottom clearance-type items might just get $.
Of course, a sale page or promotion might include a half-dozen or more $$$$ items, but also two or three worthwhile $$$ to $$ items. In that case, the headline could include $$$$ + $$. Or, if that doesn’t fit, in the post itself you could mention, “includes a few $$ deals” or something like that.
More humorously, you might instead use graphic icons of frying pans. Why frying pans? To signify how many a typical limited-budget, non-pro neophyte or enthusiast is likely to have thrown at him when his better half finds out he succumbed to temptation and bought a $$$$ or maybe even a $$$ (of course, I don’t have a frying pan icon handy). 🙂
