50% off Books, DVDs and Maps at National Geographic

The National Geographic online store is having a new limited time promotion, get 50% off on Books, DVDs, and Maps. This offer expires 12/4/15 at 11:59 pm Pacific time. The price of the items drops after you click “Add to Cart”. No coupon code needed, but you must add the item to the shopping cart to see the sale price.

For example, here’s a $50 book (that’s the price shown at their website) that drops to $25 after you add it to cart (annotated screenshot crop below)

50% off list price is sometimes a great price, sometimes it is not, depending on the book and such. So if you are not familiar with a particular book’s price range, you may also want to price-check it at Barnes and Noble and Amazon and such.
