This Golden Globe weekend offer ended but there is a pattern that every few months Amazon will find some kind of an excuse to have a Prime subscription sale 🙂 But I have no clue when the next one will happen…

To celebrate its TV wins at a recent 73th annual award show (the Golden Grammies? Golden Emmys? Golden Oscars?), Amazon is offering new subscribers One Year Of Amazon Prime for $73 instead of the usual price of $100. Existing subscribers are not eligible for the promotion – after you add to cart, it tells you are already a member. This is a full membership with all the benefits. This offer ends Sunday at 11:59pm local time.

PS: it looks like this offer may not be available for Gift Prime memberships, according to the message displayed on the Prime Gift Membership page.

UPDATE: the offer works right now – I finally found my non-Prime test account! It shows $99 when you add it cart, but when you proceed to the Checkout page, the top right corner shows the discount. Annotated screenshot crop right below:
