Optionally yo can buy it bundled with a Hoya 67mm UV Haze NXT HMC Filter for +$11~ ~ I used a calculator this time 😉 If you are not familiar with the B&H website, here’s how you can locate the different mounts and kits – the annotated picture in this post.
Tamron 150-600mm f5-6.3 Di VC USD and 10% Rewards for $989 (C/N/A) [Optional: add B+W filter for +$21]
It’s Tamron time, a new limited time offer (expires by 6/7/16) at B&H Photo gets you the Tamron SP 150-600mm f5-6.3 Di VC USD for $989 with free expedited shipping in the Canon, Nikon and Sony Minolta SLR mounts. You also receive 10% promotional rewards to be used in future B&H purchases. No coupons, no rebates…
Also available is a “Filter Kit” for each lens, for $21 more [fixed calculation error ~ looks like I may need to use a calculator even for 1+1] , you get the B+W 95mm UV Haze SC 010 Filter. Annotated screenshot crop below to locate the filter kit if you are not familiar with the B&H website:
The brand new Tamron 85mm f1.8 Di VC USD lens is now widely available at authorized dealers (eg now both Canon and Nikon versions are in-stock at B&H Photo), so it has reached the next stage in its product lifecycle, bundling it with free accessories. You can get a free 32GB Lexar SD card, a UV filter, a lens cap keeper, a cleaning kit and a microfiber cloth for the same price of $750 by Beach Camera with the order getting Prime shipping benefits (ships from Beach, not Amazon) in either the Nikon mount or the Canon mount.
PS: retroactive correction: I often get the Tamron and Tokina names confused 🙂 Did they have to both start with a T and be six letters long and share many common letters? If they were both in love with “T”, why couldn’t they name them Tammy and Trozzziaiaoaonizozzazziza? 🙂
To the Trending eBay Deals we go now where we find Canadian retailer QuickNDone (99.8%, Ontario::Canada) offering the new condition Tamron SP 24-70mm F2.8 Di VC USD in the Nikon mount only for $769 with free shipping. This ships to Canada and the USA. People buying in Canada get a 6-year Tamron Canada warranty. Limit 18 per customer (or that’s how many they are left in this offer).
For Canon and Nikon DSLR photographers, the Tamron SP 24-70mm f/2.8 DI VC USD is available for $1100 after a $200 mail-in rebate at B&H Photo and Adorama. It also earns 10% promotional rewards on the purchase price (around $130 to be used on future purchases). So this is a double dip, both a mail-in rebate and promotional rewards.
Note that the Alpha Minolta version is also participating in this promotion but it is not a stabilized (VC) lens.
If you like the idea of a stabilized 85mm f1.8 lens, the new Tamron 85mm f1.8 Di VC USD is now in-stock and ready to cling on to your Canon or Nikon DSLRs for $750 with free expedited shipping from B&H Photo (VC is Tamron-speak for image stabilization, aka vibration correction).
If you like the idea of a stabilized 85mm f1.8 lens, your wallet only needs to cry 750 tears to get the brand new Tamron 85mm f1.8 Di VC USD lens. Tamron revealed the price now and the Canon and Nikon version could be out this month, with the Sony version coming later. Check the latest availability at B&H Photo and Adorama and Amazon by Amazon itself.
If you are interested in Tamron lenses and like to shop at B&H Photo, they have 10% Promotional Rewards on select Tamron Lenses. The Rewards are stackable with the Tamron Mail-In Rebates (current iteration expires 4/30/16). The participating lenses are 24-70 f2.8, 18-270 f3.5-6.3, 16-300 f3.5-6.3, and 150-600 f5-6.3. They are available in Canon, Nikon and some in Sony Alpha SLR mounts.
Of the three new Tamron products announced this week, we finally have one that can actually be pre-orders right now. It’s another stabilized prime, the Tamron 90mm f2.8 Di Macro VC USD, with a modest pre-order price of $650 in the Canon, Nikon and Sony Alpha SLR mounts. No mail-in rebates, which many Tamron lenses “suffer” from 🙂 It is available for pre-order in all three mounts at B&H Photo. Shipping charges apply on this pre-order.
If you are a fan of stabilized full frame primes, Tamron wants you! They have revealed the brand new Tamron 85mm f1.8 Di VC USD (VC = optical image stabilization), available in the Canon, Nikon and Sony-Minolta-Dyxum SLR mounts. It is not yet available for pre-orders and it does not have a price yet, but it is listed at the B&H Photo website so that’s a step in the right direction. The Tamron press release says “Pricing and delivery will be announced shortly”, but “shortly” is not defined.
Tamron is boldly going with a new TAP-In Console that would allow photographers to upgrade the firmware of compatible Tamron lenses on their own using a computer and an internet connection and of course the TAP-in console. This will be available for Tamron Canon EF lenses, and Nikon F lenses, and Sony Minolta A lenses. This product is listed at B&H Photo but it is not available for pre-order as of the time of writing.
B&H Photo is offering 10% promotional rewards on select Tamron lenses (24-70, 70-200, 16-300, 150-600) in the Canon and Nikon SLR mounts, along with the 150-600 in the Sony Alpha-Minolta. These are the first nine lenses shown in the B&H Photo Tamron specials page. The rest of the lenses in the grid-list have 4% or no promotional rewards.
The promotional rewards are in addition and stackable with the Tamron mail-in rebates. The promotional rewards are from B&H Photo. The mail-in rebates are from Tamron.
We start as with all photography, with a prime lens. The Tamron SP 35mm f1.8 Di VC USD with 10% promotional rewards ($60~) is available for $600 in the Canon and Nikon SLR mounts at B&H Photo. This lens does not have a mail-in rebate. The promotional rewards can be used on future B&H Photo purchases.
NOTE: the Sony Alpha version (not stabilized/VC) is NOT available for purchase yet, so it is not participating in the promotion, since you can’t buy it, and the promotion is 10% of the purchase price. There is no release estimate for it as of the time of writing. [the other participating Tamron lenses are available in the Sony-Alpha mount however, unlike the Canon/Nikon versions, the Sony-Alpha-Minolta are not VC/stabilized].
Tamron 16-300mm f3.5-6.3 Di II VC PZD macro + $63 Rewards for $500 after $130 mail-in rebate [C/N/A]
We continue to Tamronize (yes, it’s a verb!), this time we have something for unapologetic superzoom fans, the Tamron 16-300mm f3.5-6.3 Di II VC PZD MACRO is $500 after a $130 mail-in rebate and comes with 10% promotional rewards (=$63~) at B&H Photo and available in the Canon SLR mount and Nikon SLR mount and Sony Alpha Minolta SLR mount (not stabilized/VC).
In addition to the 70-200mm f2.8, the Tamron 24-70mm f2.8 Di VC USD is also participating in the 10% promotional rewards at B&H Photo. It is $1200 after a $100 mail-in rebate and you also get 10% promotional rewards ($130~). It is available in the Canon SLR mount and Nikon SLR mount and Sony-Minolta SLR mount (not VC).
Note that the 10% promotional rewards offers are limited time offers, but I don’t know the exact expiration date. The mail-in rebates have their own expiration date (2/29/16).
The Tamron SP 70-200mm f2.8 Di VC USD Zoom Lens is also participating in the B&H Photo 10% Rewards promotion. You pay $1500 with free shipping, which goes down to $1400 after a $100 mail-in rebate (MIR). You also get 10% promotional rewards (=$150~) to be used on a future purchase (I am assuming the reward is on the purchase price but I could be wrong)… This offer is available in the Canon SLR mount and the Nikon SLR mount.
UPDATE: this offer is also available for the Sony Alpha SLR mount but the Alpha version is not a stabilized (VC) lens.
We have a bit of a Sigma vs Tamron 150-600mm Reward duel, because B&H Photo is also offering 10% rewards ($107~) on the Tamron SP 150-600mm f5-6.3 Di VC USD. The lens goes for $1069 with free shipping, but thanks to a $120 mail-in rebate, you can get it for $950 after $120 MIR. As far as I can tell, the 10% reward is on the purchase price ($1069) not the after-rebate-price ($950), but I could be wrong.
It’s not just Sigma! Tamron has f2.8 Pro Zooms too! This offer has both Promotional Rewards and a mail-in rebate. You can get the Tamron 24-70mm f2.8 Di VC USD SP for $1100 after a $200 mail-in rebate, but you also get 10% Promotional Rewards (~$130 or $110~ if the MIR price is not included in the promotional rewards) at B&H Photo in the Canon, Nikon and Sony-Alpha-Dyxum-Maxxum-Dzixum-Mfoxum SLR mounts. Offer ends 12/31/15 (but the free Next Day cutoff is Wedn 4pm ET).
Adorama has a limited time promotion, good until 12/31/15, you receive 10% promotional rewards on a handful of Lenses from Zeiss, Tamron, Rokinon, and Sigma lenses. The lenses are shown in this brand-name order. This includes pre-orders for the new Tamron 35mm and 45mm f1.8 Di VC lenses, along with Rokinon Cine T1.5 primes, some big Sigma lenses (500/4.5, 300/2.8, 150-600, etc). Zeiss has the most eligible lenses, including CP.2s, Ikons, Distagons, and more. The highest priced lens is $23,900 which gets you $2,390 in promotional rewards (!).
Late start today, so we have a 15 yard penalty, repeat first down, and for the first down play, we have a special rebate and reward play, from the special playbook. I’m not even sure if the previous sentence makes sense, so let’s pretend I didn’t write it and move on…
The Tamron 16-300mm f3.5-6.3 Di II VC PZD is at a confluence of deals. It has two Tamron mail-in rebates totaling $130 back via MIR, along with 10% promotional rewards. As far as I can tell, the rewards are on the purchase price, not the after rebate price. So you can get this lens for $500 after $130 MIR plus $63 promotional rewards (or $50 in the worst case scenario) at B&H Photo in the Canon and Nikon and Sony SLR mounts. The Sony is not stabilized (no VC). Offer ends 12/24/15.
Tamron temptations! At B&H Photo, you earn 10% promotional rewards on the purchase of these Tamron Lenses available in the Canon, Nikon and Sony SLR mounts. The lenses are the 24-70mm and 70-200mm f2.8s, along with the 150-600mm creature, and the 16-300mm zoom-zoom. The rewards are separate and stackable with the mail-in rebates. There are two mail-in rebates on some of the lenses, one the regular Tamron mail-in rebate, the other is a special holiday season mail-in rebate.
Adorama has thirteen different Tamron Holiday Bundles featuring a variety of free accessories (some get free gift cards or camera bags), along with the on-going mail-in rebate promotions and promotional rewards. Participating lenses include the 24-70 and 70-200 f2.8s, 16-300, 18-270, and 150-600.
This limited time offer expired and sold out and/or both…
The Tamron 16-300mm f3.5-6.3 Di II VC PZD MACRO lens is on sale for $500 after $130 back with two mail-in rebates at B&H Photo. It is the regular $80 MIR plus a $50 bonus Black Friday MIR. The lens is available in the Canon, Nikon and Alpha SLR mounts. The $50 bonus rebate expires 12/7/15.
And we are baaaack with Tammy Wynette singing the zoom lens blues. Tamron time that is. The Tamron SP 150-600mm f5-6.3 Di VC USD Lens is on sale for $950 after $120 back with two mail-in rebates ($70 and $50) at B&H Photo. Not only that, but you also earn 10% promotional rewards on the purchase, which, considering the price of the lens, that’s a very decent amount. The $70 mail-in rebate (MIR) is the regular one, plus there is a $50 Black Friday limited time MIR (expires 12/7/15). PDFs and details at the individual product pages of the lenses. This is available in the Canon, Nikon, and Sony SLR mounts…
If you are looking at the 150-600mm range, there’s also a Sigma promotion for both the Contemporary and the Sports edition of their 150-600mm lens.
For more B&H offers, check their latest Black Friday specials…
This limited-time offer expired…
It’s IFA time in Berlin [see Trade Show Calendar] which means new hardware and such. Coincidence or not, Tamron has revealed two new Prime lenses for the Canon, Nikon and Sony-Alpha-Dyxum-Maxxum SLR mounts. The Canon and Nikon are stabilized (VC) but not the Sony. It is the 35mm f1.8 Di USD (VC) for $600, and the 45mm f1.8 Di USD (VC) for $600 as well. Pre-orders are accepted at B&H Photo and Adorama…
You can find these added to the New Lenses of 2015 tracking page.
Rule #4975.34.AV30iiv (0.453 revision) of the Brand Fairness Doctrine requires that every time we mention a Tokina special, we have to match it with a Tamron offer, if nothing else, because those two names are too similarly confusing, at least to newcomers to the world of photography 😉 With that unnecessary introduction out of the way, the Tamron SP 24-70mm f2.8 DI VC USD Lens is offered for $1200 after a $100 mail-in rebate (MIR) plus 4% promotional rewards (= $50~) by B&H Photo in the Canon, Nikon and Sony Minolta Alpha mounts.
Zoom-zoom APS-C DSLR-style now as Tamron has a new 18-200mm f3.5-6.3 Di VC II lens available for pre-order for $250 in the Canon, Nikon and Alpha (the C/N/A in the blog-post title) mounts. You can pre-order them at B&H Photo and Adorama.
You can find this lens added to the tracking page of New Cameras and Lenses of 2015.

The Tamron 24-70mm f2.8 Di VC USD currently goes for $1200 after a $100 mail-in rebate at authorized dealers, but if you also want a drops and spills warranty and a lens case and a filter, Adorama has them bundled up for $1224 after the $100 MIR in the Canon, Nikon and Sony SLR mounts. So the extra $25 gets you a three year NewLeaf spills and drops warranty, the Lowepro Lens Exchange Case 100AW case ($35 on its own) and a VU Sion UV 82mm Filter (VSUV82, $100+ on its own).
B&H Photo has a special on 15 Tamron Lenses, with discounts, mail-in rebates and 4% promotional rewards. The count includes all mount options available through this offer, not unique lenses. Offer ends 6/30/15.
Zoom-zoom! If you do not hate mail-in rebates with a passion, between May 1-10 in 2015, there are two stackable $50 mail-in rebates on the Tamron 16-300mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II VC PZD (Canon, Nikon, Sony DSLR mounts).
