Olympus E-M5 w/14-42mm Elite with free Oben Tripod w/Ball head for $500

If you are in the middle of long deliberations on whether to get the first generation Olympus E-M5 with 14-42mm for $500, B&H Photo has just added a new incentive: the Elite E-M5 w/14-42mm kit also includes a free Oben AC-1321 3-Section Aluminum Tripod with BA-106 Ball Head which goes for $85 on its own (averages 4.7 out of 5 based on 27 customer reviews there). While this promotion is running the free Oben will be included automatically by B&H, you don’t have to add it manually.

The other two E-M5 kits (black or silver, non-Elite) also go for $500 but no free Oben tripod. You can quickly switch between them using the thumbnail navigator over there:

The first generation E-M5 is no longer the “latest model” since Olympus released the all new E-M5 II (second generation) going for $1000 as body only. With twice the price, and that’s before you factor in the 14-42mm lens and Oben tripod, it creates a 2-for-1 trade-off.
