This promotion expired for 2016…
If you have a Discover credit card that is offering 5% cashback on Amazon purchases for the fourth quarter of 2016 (September 1st until December 31st) and if you are under the maximum $1500 spending per account (for 5% reward purposes), note that this promotion is ending soon. Since we are so close to 2017, if you are making a purchase, make sure it’s something that will ship in 2016. If not, there’s another way: reload your Amazon account gift card balance or buy an e-mailable gift card, and use those to make future purchases. Emailable gift cards are processed within minutes, so you will definitely get 5% cashback on those.
