Back to the eBay Deals, for the more adventurous shoppers, there is a white-box imported grey-market lens without any warranty, it is offered by Get It Digital’s eBay store (99.6%). Ooops, the lens, the lens is the new condition Canon 18-135mm f3.5-5.6 IS STM going for $229 with free shipping with a limit of five per customer.

White box usually means it was part of a kit, but sold separately. If I put on my Miss Maple hat, this is probably how it came to be: they import Canon APS-C DSLRs with 18-135mm kits. Then they remove the lenses from the DSLR boxes, and sell the DSLRs as body-onlies on their own (“onlies” is plural of “only”), and the Lenses on their own.

So that’s why the price is so much lower, it’s an imported item without a warranty. Over 1300 units got sold so far, so there are a lot of people willing to take the risk, but again, don’t decide based on price alone.
