(ENDED) Free LightCrafts Aurora software (must get it by 9am EST Thursday)
To celebrate the new launch of their editing software package "Aurora", Light Crafts is offering it for free during a 24-hour window that ends on Thursday July 16 at 9:15am eastern time.
To get the free software, check their instructions via the Imaging Insider. This promotion gives you a permanent version of the software, this is not to be confused with the 7-day free-trial they have on their website.
How to get the free software
Following the instructions (see above), we gave this a quick try:
1. Visit their website
2. Click on "Buy for $19.95" for either Windows or Mac
3. Enter the "Discount coupon" FREE24 at the top of the page and hit the tiny little blue button next to the box
4. This will change the "Total Price" from $19.95 to $0
5. Enter the required information (fields in BOLD)
6. Since it is free, you are not asked to enter any credit-card or payment information
7. Press "Next Step"
8. After a minute or so, you will receive an email with an order confirmation. The order is processed by Avangate
9. About a minute after that, you will receive a second email which includes a download link and the license number. The title of this email is "Aurora for Windows" for PC editions
10. Download the software (.exe file for Windows)
11. Install the software
12. Start the software
13. You will be prompted to enter the license number which can be found in the second email mentioned in step #9
14. You are ready to start using the software for ever and ever
15. Be sure to try out the "Edit" options from the main window that shows the thumbnails. (The "Edit" menu at the top is a standard windows edit, not the picture edit window. To get to the picture-edit, click the "Photo"/"Edit" option). This may be easy to miss for the speed-readers, which is why we are mentioning it.
16. That's all folks! You just scored some new free software!
Please note that the time-estimate mentioned in steps #8 and #9 was when we tried the download. As the news of the free software hits the internets and makes it to the various bargain-hunting sites, the time it takes to receive those emails may be longer!
