Save $20 on orders $100+ at Ritz online when paying with PayPal

If you were planning to make an online purchase at the online Ritz/Wolf camera stores (not the brick and mortar stores), and if you want to make your payment with PayPal, you can save an extra $20 off an order of $100 or more when paying with PayPal. As usual, there are terms and conditions on this offer along with restricted products (eg Canon 5D, Nikon D300). You can find all the promotional details by following the "Get $20 OFF" link on the front page of the RitzCamera.com website.

The promotion started on June 15 and it is good for an unspecified "limited time". Considering the age of the universe, it's hard to guess what "limited time" means :)

Samsung compact digital camera discounts at J&R World

A new wave of discounts on Samsung compact digital cameras has gone live at J&R World's discounts page, including various colors of the SL30 for $90, SL620 for $180, SL420 for $150, and HZ10w for $250.

Also discounted is the Olympus Stylus 550wp for $142 (black or blue), along with a 7-inch Sunpak digital picture frame for $30.

And one more thing, this of the "Engadget" variety, this time as the deal of the day at Buy.com, a 5-megapixel Liquid Image Explorer Series 302 Underwater Digital Camera Mask for $80 with free shipping, sold and shipped by Buy.com itself. Just like Amazon, Buy.com is a marketplace and they have a variety of featured sellers, some of them you may be very familiar with (Adorama, OneCall, etc), some not so much. Just like when buying from 3rd-party sellers at Amazon, be sure to investigate thoroughly any 3rd party sellers you have not heard of before.

With the Sony Card you can get up to $300 in credit card credits based on your total purchases. You have to jump aboard before June 9 in order to be part of this promotion.

Be sure to check the aforementioned link for complete details, but essentially you spend $3300+ and get $300 back in credit card statement credits, which is as good as cash in terms of paying your credit card bills. That's a 9% return on your purchase, in addition to the regular credit card rewards you earn. What else can get you a guaranteed 9% return these days? :)

From what we understand by reading the promotional page, you earn a $100 statement credit for each one of these activities:

+ charge an additional $1500+ to your Sony credit card during your first six months - these can be any purchases anywhere - groceries, coffee, utilities, anything

So, to summarize, you can get $300 back on your credit card statement by spending $300+ at Sony Style, and $3000+ in general purchases, after of course following the guidelines, terms and conditions of this promotion.

Even if you are not a Sony fan-boy, this is a hot deal, assuming there's you want to buy $300+ worth of Sony Style products in a single transaction. In other words, think of these as FREE, since you will receive $300 in statement credits!

(MAYBE) Free shipping returns at Calumet Photo (orders $100 or more)

We couldn't get this promotion to work, even though it came directly from Calumet. The shopping cart page shows a shipping fee if the order is over $100. We have not completed a checkout so we don't know if it changes there. Regardless, this should not be showing a S&H fee if the promotion is working as it was supposed to. We are waiting to hear from Calumet.

And frankly, we are getting tired of all these retailers sending out promotions that are not working as expected out of the gate.

Original post: The free shipping promotion returns at Calumet Photo. All qualifying orders of $100 or more will get free standard shipping. These must be shipped to the 48-contiguous continental states. There is NO coupon to enter, no magic code, just clicking through will automagically get you free shipping and handling.

The promotion is good until July 31st, so be sure to bookmark this page (here is the permalink) for quick reference at a later date.
