The Prime Day madness continues! Good until 3am Eastern on Wednesday, if you purchase a $25+ Amazon Gift Card, you will receive a $5 promotional credit to your Amazon account. The promo credit will arrive in about two days (so you can’t use it today), but you can use the $25+ gift card today.
You have to re-enter your credit card most of the time when buying gift cards, so make sure you have the number handy.
The shopping cart confirms that your purchase is eligible with a box informing you so in the shopping cart like this:
I just purchased this promotion as you can see above. You can email it to your own email address, you don’t have to send it to a different email addresses. Their instructions says it will arrive in five minutes, but mine arrived within a minute.
So you can spend the gift card amount today, but not the $5 promotional credit which will expire if not used by 8/26/17. Once in your account, the Amazon shopping cart will automatically use the promotional credit before using any other payment or gift card methods.
PRO TIP: if you have pending Amazon orders that have not shipped yet, and you are allowed to make changes (eg to the payment method), you can go back and pay for them using this new gift card. Restrictions may apply on this depending on the items purchased.
