Amazon has a Summer Magazine Promotion. You pay $0.99 and you get a six month printed subscription to a magazine. After that, it automatically converts to a 1-year $10/year auto-renewing subscription unless you manually cancel it before it gets to that. The offer is good for new subscribers only (no renewing subscribers). Among the 64 magazines participating are Popular Photography and Wired. You can manage and cancel these using the Subscription Manager at Amazon.com. You don’t have to talk or email customer support. This is a summer promotion, it is not part of the lightning deals, but it does not say when it expires.
