A quick look at the eBay Deals shows a prime lens offer if you are not risk averse. The eBay store of PhotoVideo4Less (99.9%) is offering new condition imported grey-market Nikon 35mm f1.8 DX lenses for $149 with free shipping. There is no manufacturer warranty on this. In fact there is no mention of warranty, so you can assume that you get no warranty (unless you find out otherwise). Limit five per customer. Over 2000 units got sold so far from this eBay listing. This is a simple prime lens, which reduces the risks of issues, but again, do whatever helps you sleep better at night 🙂
On the other hand, if you prefer Nikon USA blessed items and you have use for Corel’s imaging (and other software) Adorama is offering the new condition version of the Nikon 35mm f1.8 DX lens along with the Corel software bundle (includes AfterShot PRO and Paintshop PRO among others), along with a 52mm MC UV filter, a tether, and a cleaning kit, along with $4~ in promotional rewards for $197 with free shipping.
