Prime time of the f1.4 kind! The new condition Sigma 85mm f1.4 DG HSM ART prime lens is now getting a free USB Sigma Dock at Adorama while still selling for $999 with free expedited shipping in the Canon, Nikon and Sigma DSLR systems.
Sigma revealed their all new Sigma 14-24mm f2.8 DG HSM ART zoom lens in early February for the Canon, Nikon and Sigma SLR systems but they did not reveal a price. The listing has pictures of the actual camera and a list of what’s included. They also have “Make Offer” enabled. Check the listing and the seller in detail before buying if interested. Again, this is a higher risk purchase, so if the chance of problems keeps you up at night, just avoid it 🙂

I just updated the new line-up of the Stock Status Tracker (with the Fuji X-H1 added, the X100F and GH5 removed) and we have a greed price war on the imported Nikon D850 body only front. “Deals All Year” went greedy and skyrocketed their prices from $3240 to $3800, but they just got undercut by another imported, 6ave on eBay is offering the new condition imported grey market with a 1-year seller (not Nikon USA) warranty for $3200 with free shipping, with a maximum of three per customer. The new condition price at authorized Nikon USA dealers is $3300.
PS: if you need a full frame Nikon DSLR now, want the D850 but the waiting is driving you mad, there are some good deals on other refurbished Nikon DSLRs that can keep you going until/unless the D850 becomes available. You won’t lose as much money selling/trading a refurbished DSLR (or you can keep it as a backup).

Another disappearing act! The Nikon D810A is no longer available for purchase from B&H Photo and Adorama, but if you still want to get it in new condition from an authorized dealer Amazon itself has it for its normal price of $3800 with a maximum of three per customer. It is in the all-encompassing “temporarily out of stock” shipping estimate though.
The time is right in the year for a brand new Price Charts series to begin! I have began doing the spreadsheet work and price-checking! If you are going to take a risk on an imported lens without a warranty, a low-cost simple prime lens is pretty much the lowest of those risks. A new development after today’s Stock Status Tracker update. We have another discount on the Imported Grey Market Nikon D850 Body on eBay by eBay seller Deals All Year, it dropped from $3250 to $3230 with free shipping and a 1-year seller warranty. The new condition price at authorized Nikon USA dealers is $3300.
As far as the other tracked cameras, it is status quo. Both the Sony a7r III and Panasonic G9 are steadily available at authorized dealers, although individual sellers may go in and out.
On a meta note, this is the last time we have the Fuji X100S in the Stock Tracker. The camera has been steady in prices, both used and new for a while now, so it will be retired. However, I am saving the entries, so if something happens that necessitates its return, it will be very easy to bring it back!
