The Sony a7r II body only goes for $3200 at authorized Sony dealers. As part of the Cyber Monday sale-a-brations, B&H Photo is offering you one FREE gift with it from a choice of two: either a $200 B&H Photo Gift Card or the Metabones T Smart Adapter Mark IV for Canon EF or Canon EF-S Mount Lens to Sony E-Mount Camera. You also receive a free download of ON1 Effects 10.
After you add the camera to cart, a box pops up that shows you the free options. You select one of the two and proceed as usual. Annotated screenshot of that event right below.
Adorama has now “defeated” the Sony a6000 2-lens Black Friday kit with a batter offer. You still pay $700, but you get the Sony a6000 with 16-50 and 55-210 and $50 Adorama gift certificate and extra Sony battery and extra Sony charger and 64GB Lexar SDXC card and screen protector.
While we are at Adorama, there’s another sale, the Aries BlackBird X10 Quadcopter With built in 16MP Still/Cine Camera has drooped to $300.
The a6000 2-lens kit offer has ended as of late 11/28/15 re-check:

Another one of the Black Friday Ads is now price-matched by the internets. The Sony a6000 2-lens kit with the 18-55 and 55-210 lenses is going for $700 at Black Friday and it is now going for $700 at Amazon by Amazon itself (with free camera bag and 16GB Sony SD)… On the other hand, if you don’t need these particular lenses, the a6000 body only (with a number of free accessories) goes for $400 at Adorama and B&H Photo…
The Sony a6000 with the 16-50mm lens is bundled with a $50 Adorama Gift Certificate along with a 64GB Lexar SDXC and 1yr Leaf spills-n-drops warranty for $550 at Adorama in the black A6000. This kit was going for $680 last week, see the “Take Pictures With” segment of the Mirrorless Price Charts. Meanwhile the body only was going for $480 last week, but now…
And now, 35mm full frame camera at the magical $1000 price point. The Sony a7 body only is now down to $1000 with free shipping at Adorama… This was going for $1100 last week (see 35mm Full Frame price charts)…
Speaking of Sony, a couple of their lenses are on sale as well. The FE 24-240mm F3.5-6.3 OSS goes for $900 with free shipping, while the Carl Zeiss 24mm F/1.8 goes for $900 too but also earns a $36 promotional reward.

From the $1 photo paper in the previous post, we now go to a $17,000 video bundle Adorama is offering a big Sony Video Bundle for $17,000 with free shipping. It is temporarily on backorder but you can order it now if you like the price. The Sony Alpha a7S II body only camera is now in-stock and ready to ship for $3000 (okay, $2998 but rounding is easier) at Adorama.
The Sony NEX-FS100U Super 35mm video camera body only (takes E-mount lenses) is now down to $1600 with free expedited shipping at Adorama.
While on the topic of video, also at Adorama, in-stock and ready to ship it is (obligatory Yoda-ish which I’m sure will be overly-done world-wide in the next few months) the Panasonic AG-DVX200 Camcorder for $4200. This has a 13x Leica optical zoom fixed lens.
Running until 10/31/15, Amazon has a Sony Trade-In Bonus Promotion that can be applied towards the purchase of select Sony a7* kits or FE lenses. The complete list of eligible cameras and lenses is shown over there.
The “bonus” part of the trade-in is this: in addition to the actual trade-in value of the camera gear you will send them in, you will also receive a promotional code that gets you $45 to $250 off the purchase of the aforementioned Sony a7* cameras or FE lenses. In general, the higher the price of the item, the bigger the promo code discount. For example, the a7S body only gets $250 off, while the 28mm f2 gets $45 off. You receive promo codes for all 17 eligible items. You can use each promo code once. Applies only to items sold and shipped by Amazon herself (not 3rd-party sellers).
The workflow of this trade-in (based on the promotional page (I haven’t done this)) is this:
STEP #1: locate the camera(s) or lens(es) you want to trade-in. The promotional page has big pictures for eligible “Digital SLRs” or “Mirrorless Cameras” or “Lenses”. Once you hit one of those links, you will see eligible products. You don’t have to go through them page by page. The Amazon search box over there morphs into a trade-in search box, so it will only show you eligible items. So, for example, you don’t have to go through 500+ DSLR kits to see if yours is eligible.
STEP #2: select the camera you want to trade-in and follow the steps. It’s easy actually. You click the yellow “Trade-In” button and it shows you price ranges depending on the condition. Your trade-in amount will be adjusted if when they receive it, their evaluation of the item’s condition differs from your own. Even so, you have some control, you can pre-select whether you want them to return the item to you for free, or automatically accept the lower price. (if the price is higher, they’ll obviously give you a bigger trade-in amount). The trade-in amount will be sent to you in an Amazon Gift Card, not a cold-hard-cash check/cheque.
STEP #3: if you accept the offer, you ship your old camera/lens to Amazon for FREE using their printable shipment labels. About 7-10 business days after, you will receive via e-mail the promotional codes that go towards the purchase of Sony a7* or FE lenses. The promotional codes are pre-determined amounts ($45 to $250) depending on which Sony item you buy in the future. These amounts are not linked to the value of your old used traded-in gear.
STEP #4: after your old used trade-in gear is received by Amazon, and their condition evaluated, you will receive an email with their findings, and if accepted by them, you will receive your trade-in value in an Amazon electronic gift card (this is a never-expiring Amazon gift card, not a promotional code).
STEP #5: you can use both the promotional bonus codes ($45 to $250) and your trade-in gift card towards the purchase of a Sony camera or FE lens. This is optional. You don’t have to buy anything. But obviously you can’t undo the trade-in once it is submitted and accepted by Amazon and it survives your “lower condition” conditional choice in Step #2.
STEP #6: as you can see, I can only write short posts or sprawling posts, there’s no middle ground
DEADLINES: The promotion expires 10/31/15. The promo codes expire 11/7/15.

If of the four Sony RX100 digital cameras it is the Mark II (RX100 II) the one you want, Adorama has created a Sony RX100 II bundle for $500 with free shipping. Locate the “Free Gift” tab, and you will notice a NewLeaf 1 Year Drops-n-Spills Extra Protection. Click on the blue “Add to Bundle” and then the green “Add Bundle to Cart” and proceed to checkout.
For Sony Alpha a5100 and a5000 owners, Adorama is offering the Sony LCS-EBB Body Case for $14 with free shipping. This is an official Sony product, custom-made to fit the aforementioned cameras.
Sony’s taking a page from the Apple book by separating (in time) the announcement from the ordering. Officially it is for Big Sensor Prime fans, the Sony RX1 R II with a starting price of $3300 and a 42mp full frame Exmor R sensor BSI CMOS (once upon a time Sony’s own people said BSI technology was best suited to make the most out of 1/2.x” sensors – ha!), and 35mm f2 Zeiss lens. Pre-orders are not accepted yet, but the camera has a page with specs and details at B&H Photo which says “Item will be available for purchase on Thu, Nov 5 8AM”.
This too has been added to the New Cameras of 2015 Tracking page.
