Invited Offer: 10% in eBay Bucks on single items $250+ each

Check your email inbox or your eBay Message Box. eBay may have sent you an offer to earn 10% in eBay Bucks when you make a purchase of a single item priced $250 or higher.

In parallel (a second stackable offer running in parallel), they have a 5% eBay Bucks offer when you buy from Target's eBay store. So the two companies who got majorly hacked are getting together :)

This promotion ends at 2:59am eastern on Friday June 6 in 2014. The offer is valid on multiple qualifying purchases made within the promotion time period.

You qualify for this offer if you have been invited by eBay. There's no coupon code to enter. This is not a discount on the purchase price, but rewards earned in the eBay Bucks rewards program. The invitation email explains this offer:

"Who's eligible?
Only invited, registered eBay Bucks participants who receive the promotional offer from eBay in My Messages are eligible. Sorry, no forwarding—the offer is not transferable.

+ Earn 10% in eBay Bucks on every qualifying single item* of $250 or more.
+ Earn an extra 5% in eBay Bucks for any item purchased from the Target store on eBay. Total Rewards will be 7% on any item $0–$249.99 and 15% on any item $250 or more.

Promotion details
The Promotion starts at 8:00AM PT on June 4, 2014, and ends at 11:59PM PT June 5, 2014. Extra eBay Bucks can only be earned on every single item purchased that meets the minimum purchase requirement specified in the offer. Valid on multiple qualifying purchases made within the promotion time period.

*Qualifying purchases exclude all items in the following categories: Classifieds, Business & Industrial, Real Estate, eBay Gift Cards (within the Gift Cards & Coupons category), Bullion (within the Coins & Paper category), and eBay Motors.

Rewards are capped at $100 per transaction and $500 per Earn Period. Purchases must be paid for with PayPal before the Promotion ends. eBay reserves the right to cancel, amend, or revoke the Promotion at any time. Other restrictions apply. See Terms & Conditions for details."

100% back in Rewards on 24pk of AA Energizer Max alkaline batteries

If you are a frequent Office Depot customer, and you are looking to stock up on Energizer AA alkaline single-use batteries, their 100% rewards promotion is back. The offer is this: you receive 100% back as Rewards (on the product price; not the sales tax) on a 24pk of Energizer Max AA alkaline batteries. You can buy two of these per day, each day, for the week of Sunday 1/5/14 until the close of business on Saturday 1/11/14. This is good for online, brick and mortar and by phone purchases.

If you want to max out on this deal, it is two 24pks per day, for seven days (Sunday AM until Saturday PM), so you will end up with 14 24pks. A few weeks later, you will receive the purchase price back as Office Depot Rewards. The sales tax is not covered/included. You receive Rewards (think along the lines of Office Depot store credit with an expiration date), not cash/check!

The offer is only good on this specific 24pk, Office Depot item #626-049, not every Energizer set. You can check availability, terms, conditions, and local store hours through the Office Depot website.

TIP: if you are not familiar with how these rewards work, do not jump in unless you research them first. You cannot easily convert Office Depot rewards to cash, and you cannot roll them like you can with Office Max rewards. In other words, if you are not a frequent Office Depot shopper, you have to plan how you are going to spend them before you commit to the purchase. I've done these a few times, and if you follow the rules and the deadlines and understand the terms and restrictions, they are reliable.

eBay Bucks changes starting 1/1/14: only quarterly balances of $5+ will be paid

eBay is making changes to their "eBay Bucks" rewards program starting January 1, 2014. With the new terms, your quarterly rewards total will only be sent to you if it is $5 or more. If it is under $5, it will disappear into the void, and cannot be carried over to the next quarter. You can learn more through the eBay Bucks FAQ page.

In other words, you must spend at least $100 every quarter in order to receive eBay Bucks. eBay Bucks are paid at a flat rate of 2% of your purchases (only the purchase price; not shipping/handling/taxes/fees). Occasionally they have additional offers. You can also earn eBay Bucks by participating in their "Trial Pay" offers (eg start a first-time ever Hulu+ free trial, and get $X eBay Bucks).

AMEX cardholders (YMMV): buy $75+ at Amazon, get $25 statement credit (may be targetted)

If you have an American Express credit card of any kind, check the "Offers for You" section on their website (after you logon to your account) or check your email if you are in their emailing lists. The offer is this: "Get a one-time $25 statement credit by using your enrolled Card to spend a total of $75 or more online at Amazon.com by 12/31/2013. Statement credit will appear on your billing statement within 90 days after 12/31/13". Check all the details over there. You must manually enroll for the offer by simply clicking on the option next to the offer. I have no way of knowing whether everyone is offered this, or it may be targetted based on credit card (I am seeing it on an Amex Blue).

4% Promotional Rewards return at Amazon (DSLRs, Mirrorless, Lenses)

The 4% promotional rewards on camera gear have returned at Amazon. This is a limited time, but an end date is not provided, so it will end when it ends. You will receive 4% of your purchase price as a promotional credit thirty-five days _after_ your order ships. You have to spend your promotional credit within six months after it is issued. Only items sold and shipped by Amazon itself qualify (not marketplace, 3rd parties, used, refurbs, etc). The aforelinked page has more details.

As of the time of writing, eligible for this promotion are 95 DSLR kits and 122 mirrorless kits and 739 lenses.

American Express Card Holders: Offers include Statement Credits on Various Popular Electronics Retailers that Sell Cameras (YMMV; may be targetted)

Please note this is a YMMV promotion, it may be targeted or semi-targeted or not. I am using my own account as a guinea pig (AMEX Blue; this is a poor blog, we can't afford the designer AMEX cards!), so the offers may (or may not) be different in your situation. If you have an American Express credit card of any kind, logon to your account and check the "Offers For You" tab on their website. It is on the right of the "Latest Transactions" tab.

These are statement credit offers, meaning you buy something and you get a predefined amount back as an AMEX Statement Credit later on. Each promotion has its own terms, conditions, restrictions and deadlines, so be sure to read them before purchase! Some may be good online, others at brick and mortar, others at both places. Some of the places that sell cameras that have offers:

+ spend $79+ at Walmart, get $20 statement credit
+ spend $100+ at Sony, get $25 statement credit
+ spend $100+ at Tigerdirect, get $30 statement credit
+ spend $150+ at Zappos, get $30 statement credit
+ spend $200+ at Abt Electronics, get $20 statement credit
+ spend $250+ at Best Buy, get $25 statement credit
+ spend $599+ at Dell, get $50 statement credit
+ you must click on the button next to the offer to activate it for your account _before_ making a purchase. If you have multiple AMEX cards in the same AMEX online account, make sure you are looking/using the correct card
