If you are not afraid of mail-in rebates, Adorama is offering the Gitzo GT2840C Series 2 Basalt Compact Tripod with G-LOCK System for $300 after a $150 mail-in rebate. You pay $450 when you make the online purchase. This is a limited quantity promotion. This model is already gone (discontinued) at B&H Photo.
Amazon has a new promotion, running May 11 until June 16 in 2013 that gets you $25 back via a mail-in rebate form when you purchase one of these eligible Bushnell H20 waterproof binoculars. Six models are listed with prices ranging from $70 to $100. Please note this is a $25 mail-in rebate, not an instant discount or coupon!
Adorama has Elinchrom special promotions in combination with the mail-in rebates promotion that is good until 6/30/13. A total of five products are participating in this (three kits, two flash units). The mail-in rebate amounts vary depending on the product.
Tamron has a mail-in rebate promotion on their superzoom lenses, 18-270 and 18-200 in various SLR mounts. A total of 14 items are available as part of this promotion at Adorama. These are mail-in rebates, not instant rebates!
This is a mail-in rebate promotion. You pay $1300 at B&H Photo and you receive the Canon 60D with the 18-135mm lens, the Pixma Pro 100 printer, 50 sheets of Canon 13x19 photo paper, DSLR shoulder bag, 16GB SDHC, and extra battery. We don't write this as "$900 after rebate" because you don't receive a cashable check as the mail-in rebate. For some, this distinction may be a non-issue, however, for others, there is a big difference between a $400 cashbable check versus a $400 gift card.

Buy together, in the same shopping cart, the Canon Pixma Pro-100 printer and this 50pk Canon 13x19 inch photo paper. After you receive your order and make sure all is working to your satisfaction, and before the filing deadline, submit the mail-in rebate form following the instructions. After a few weeks, you will receive by mail a $300 prepaid American Express gift card. The PDF form for this promotion can be found at the aforelinked B&H Photo product pages.
Strategery: even if you don't want the photo paper, you save more by buying the photo paper. Without the photo paper, the AMEX prepaid gift card is $200. If you buy the printer together with the photo paper, the AMEX is $300. The photo paper price is $50. So you save $50 and you get the photo paper.

Pentax has launched a new prepaid VISA gift card mail-in rebate promotion. There are two promotions, one for the 645D and one for the K-5 IIs.
You can find the PDF rebate form at the Pentax 645D body page at Adorama on the right side of the page, right above the green "Add to Cart" button, it is the "view rebate" link. You will receive a $500 prepaid VISA gift card via mail-in rebate if you purchase the 645D together in the same shopping cart as the 25mm f4 645 lens and a $500 prepaid VISA gift card via mail-in rebate if you purchase the 645D together in the same shopping cart as the 90mm f2.8 645 lens. Maximum rewards $1000 if you purchase the 645D body and the two lenses together in the same shopping cart. Check the terms and conditions in the PDF file for more details.

B&H Photo has set up a page with the five Olympus E-M5 kits eligible for the VISA prepaid mail-in rebates. You can buy up to three lenses from the list of qualifying lenses shown in the PDF file which you can find under "More Rebates" in the middle of the page of individual product pages. By "individual product pages" we mean the individual page of a camera kit, for example, the silver E-M5 w/12-50 kit... For a more detailed discussion of these, see the main blog alert posted last week.
A note if you are buying these at retailers that have open marketplaces like Amazon, Sears, eBay, Best Buy, NewEgg, Buy.com, etc. Make sure you are buying from the actual house retailer itself, and not from third-party or marketplace sellers. If you are going to buy from a third-party/marketplace seller, make sure they are an authorized dealer and make sure they are offering this promotion through their Amazon/Sears/eBay/BestBuy/NewEgg/Buy.com listings, and make sure Olympus (and their rebate agents) are going to accept this as an eligible purchase. The promotional period is typically the Sunday open to Saturday close brick and mortar shopping week and if you use a lot of photo paper, by taking advantage of these promotions, you can stock up without breaking the bank. As usual, if you are not familiar with how these work, be sure to research them and google them. Do not assume! A lot of the rebate problems happen because people assume this works similarly to something else they might be familiar with, but each rebate and rewards program is different! So be sure to research them first if you are not familiar with these!
