Adorama is having a special on the Sigma 17-50mm f2.8 EX DC SLR lens for $570 with free shipping. And if you page down at the aforelinked page, you will find bundles at the same price that include a 77mm Tiffen filter, slip on lens cap, and cleaning kit. Note that the Canon, Nikon and Sigma versions are optically stabilized (OS), while the Alpha and K-mount are not.
