Amazon.com itself is offering the silver GE A1255 P&S camera for $35 with free shipping. No coupons. You can buy as many as you like at this price. This has a 5x optical zoom lens and takes AA batteries. Since the prices are falling as such, we have a created a $50 camera category (see categories/labels/tags right below)
Speaking of the $50 price-point, you can get the 8GB Creative Labs Vado HD (2nd gen) camcorder stick for $50 with free shipping by Creative Labs with the order fulfilled by Amazon itself (qualifies for free shipping, so you can add other Amazon-sold and Amazon-fulfilled items that may not qualify for free shipping on their own)

Staying at Tiger, they are offering the refurbished GE X5 superzoom for $80 + S&H when you enter coupon code UHI45673 in your shopping cart. The GE X5 has a 15x optical zoom lens. Please note this camera is refurbished! The coupons mentioned in this post expire on October-8-2011 or earlier if the cameras sell out. Shipping is around $3 (may vary by zipcode) if you select the EconoShip shipping method. (Free S&H if you are a Tiger InnerCircle member ($50/year))
One more camera joins the $100-camera club! It is the red Fuji Finepix Z90 offered for $100 with free shipping and an optional free Delkin Jellyfish waterproof kit. The Jellything is general-purpose, you can use it on multiple cameras that are compatible with it.

One of Tuesday's shellshocker deals at NewEgg is the GE CRE00-BK by Jason Wu offered for $70 $80 with free shipping. You can buy up to three at this per unit price.
Sears is having a special promotion, buy the GE X5 superzoom for $150, get the GE C1033 compact P&S ($66 price) for FREE. There is no coupon code to enter, simply add them both to your shopping cart and the price of the C1033 will be automatically discounted. You do not need to sign-up or sign-in to "test" the discount. Jump add both to cart and click-through...
The GE X5 goes for $130~ at Amazon so the discount is not as big as the Sears prices may make it seem.
But you can drop the Sears price down (or any other Sears purchases you make at Sears) by trying these coupon codes:
+ coupon code SNOW is $5 off $50+ (ends Dec-25)
+ coupon code SANTA is free shipping for orders $99 or more (ends Dec-17)
If you have a shelf full of superzoom digital cameras, then you may be interested in checking out the GE superzoom as well, although by the looks of it, it probably has the same OEM as some of the other similar superzooms. Nevertheless, you can get the GE X5 Pro for $129 with free shipping from Beach Camera on Amazon. Amazon itself has it at the same price but it is in pre-order status. The camera has a 15X zoom lens, 2.7" LCD, 14mp 1/2.3" sensor and takes four AA batteries. (The "Pro" is part of the name, it is not a professional camera).
If you are interested in checking out the GE line of cameras, for $60 with free shipping you can get the GE A950 (black) from Tigerdirect on Amazon. This is a 9mp camera with a 5X optical zoom lens and 2.5" LCD. A typical AA-based P&S. As usual, be sure to check reviews, opinions and sample pictures, but remember a $60 camera should not be expected to perform like a $360 camera :)
If you like the GE-brand or if you are curious, or if you want a low-priced AA-based superzoom and you are the brave early-adopter type, Amazon is accepting pre-orders for the GE X5 Pro for $150. Their current estimate is that it ships in "3 to 4 weeks". No actual date is given however. This is a camera with a 15X zoom lens, a 14mp 1/2.3" sensor, 2.7" LCD, and it takes four AA batteries. We haven't compared it to other 15X superzooms out there, so we don't know if they are "related" via OEM.
We have it marked in the $100 camera category, although it seems that we need to create a $50 camera category these days! If you like to try out affordable P&S compacts for less, and/or support breast cancer awareness, and/or if you like to collect special-causes cameras, for just $48 with free shipping you can get the pink GE H855, sold and shipped by Amazon itself for this price.
This is an 8-megapixel camera with a 5X optical zoom lens and a 3-inch LCD display.
This item has expired. The original post is after the jump...
Update on Tuesday 3:15pm eastern: The price has gone up from $60 to $70. Shipping is an additional $7.
Original post: We never thought we would see the day of a "brand name" zoom-camera selling, not at $100, but much closer to $50. But apparently it just happened! Tigerdirect is offering the black GE A835 for $60 plus $7 shipping and handling. This is an 8-megapixel 1/2.5" digital camera with a 3x optical zoom lens, a 2.5" LCD, SD/SDHC, AA batteries, and the usual features.
You can also get the same camera for the same price from CompUSA.com, which is of course now part of the Tigerdirect family.
