The shopping website that is Massdrop has launched their very own Black Friday sales. OF camera and photo interest, they are offering the new condition Fuji X-T2 body ohly for $880. You can optionally add the 18-55mm f2.8-4 R XF OIS LM lens for $320 more [$1200 total].
NOTE that there is no mention of warranty in the listing, so assume this is an imported/grey-market with no warranty. Orders will be shipped in mid-December 2018 from Massdrop. There’s no option for expedited shipping.
In comparison, in new condition at authorized dealers the X-T2 body only goes for $1100, such as B&H Photo and Adorama and Amazon. So that’s a difference of $220.
At the aforementioned places, the X-T2 with 18-55 kit goes for $1500, versus $1200 of Massdrop.
Element-proof cameras have survived the smartphone onslaught despite an increase in IP-something proof-something in smartphones. Among the latest B&H NAB 2018 Specials running until 4/14/18 is a FREE $100 Gift Card promotion on half a dozen Fuji X-H1 Kits. The standard body only kit [which we track in the Stock Status Tracker] is not participating in the promotion, but six other X-H1 kits are participating. The options are with and without grip, and the lens options are 16-55, 50-140, 100-400. There’s also the body only with the battery grip.
The Stock Status Tracker update has two updates on the Fuji X-H1 front as well. The FREE Domke F-803 promotion at B&H and Adorama has ended, but the used prices at Amazon Warehouse Deals dropped from $1799 to $1729. This is by K&M Camera, offering a “Used – Like New” dealer demo with full USA warranty per the listing.
