The new condition Canon 80D body only goes for $1100, so this is another place where you can save by going refurbished but still get the full warranty. The refurbished Canon 80D with 18-55 goes for $799 at the official Canon USA outlet with a 1-year warranty from Canon. This is the sale price as the refurbished 80D body only. You can always trade, sell, gift, or experiment upon the 18-55 lens if you don’t need it. This one of their 4th of July DSLR sales.

Canon launched this week the 6D Mark II for $2000, but if you want to get Canon 35mm full frame for almost half of that price, the first generation Canon 6D body only kit is on sale for $1099 with free shipping at the Canon USA Outlet store with a 1-year Canon USA warranty. This is part of their 4th of July Savings sale.
The new condition price for the first generation 6D is $1399 at the moment (eg Adorama – page down to see all options). With a new model coming out, strategically, if you are getting the previous generation model, going refurbished or used makes more sense, especially if you can get it with a full warranty. You can put the difference towards a future upgrade or towards moar moar moar lenses.

Canon took their time, but they have finally revealed a new SL-series DSLR, the aptly named SL2 is now out and about, available for pre-order for $550 in body only, or for $700 with the 18-55mm EF-S IS STM. The new SL2 has a Vari-Angle Touch-Screen, a “twist and shout” screen 🙂

The Meh.com daily deal, good until 11:59pm ET on Monday (or earlier if sold out) is the new condition Canon D-Rebel T6 with the 18-55mm lens offered for $344 plus $5 flat shipping and a 1 year Canon warranty.
The Canon SX540 HS superzoom (50x optical) is offered for $350 with free shipping at Adorama when you do the “add to cart” song and dance.

Back to the eBay Deals with a de-UPC printer. That’s a printer whose UPC was removed from the box but it is otherwise unused/unopened. Most likely printers purchased using the Canon PIXMA mail-in rebates but not needed by their original owners and sold to others.
So if you don’t want to deal with the Canon PIXMA mail-in rebates and AMEX gift cards, you can get a new condition de-UPC’ed Canon Pixma PRO 10 printer for $340 with free shipping by eBay seller “Electronic City Inc” (99.3%, New York). Limit five per buyer.
This is a higher risk than buying new condition with UPC intact from authorized dealers, so it’s up to you to decide where you draw the line on risk and convenience (not having to deal with mail-in rebates (MIR) and/or gift cards). But if you prefer the lower risk approach, you can get it for $450 after a $250 MIR (prepaid AMEX GC) at B&H Photo.
The new condition Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM Lens goes for $1699 at authorized Canon USA dealers, and you have the option to get a free 13-month Accidental Damage protection by registering your product within 30 days of purchase.
However, at the moment, Adorama is bundling this lens with a FREE tripod. And it’s not a toy tripod! It is the Manfrotto MT055XPRO3 Aluminum 3 Section Tripod with Horizontal Column (19.84lbs Load Capacity, 66.93″ Maximum Height). The new official Canon 2-Lens Bundle featuring the EF 50/1.8 STM and 10-18 EF-S f4.5-5.6 lenses is on sale for $319 at authorized dealers, but that’s not all, for the same price, Adorama is bundling it with these free accessories: 49mm and 67mm UV lens filters, a small and a medium lens pouch, and the obligatory cleaning kit.
