If you are looking for a general P&S digital camera as a gift or as a general-purpose don't-mind-if-lost-stolen-or-broken type of a camera, then you may be interested in investigating the Casio EX-Z33 which is available in a variety of colors from a variety of sellers at Amazon for around $103, give or take a few quarters.

This has the typical P&S features, 3x zoom, 2.5-inch display, face detection, LiIon, SD/SDHC, movies, etc. We did not find any actual reviews of this camera, so your best bet is probably checking user-reviews at different retailers, user-review sites, and digital camera forums.

Casio EX-FS10 crashes under $190

The Casio EX-FS10 is one of the two new Casio speed-demon cameras (the other one being the EX-FC100), and it is a more "bijou"-type of a camera, as it uses folded-optics which typically favor style over optical image quality. We just checked, and it prices has crashed to under $190 at Amazon.com. The actual prices depend on color and seller, and as always, be sure to not only look at the featured seller, but also the other sellers listed in the "More Buying Choices" in the right sidebar of each Amazon product page.

The camera is available in Casiofied versions of the colors blue, gray and red.

We don't have this camera listed at the Compact Review Organizer but a quick Google search found the following reviews, which you can find after the jump if interested:

If you have been curious about the new Casio speed-demon models, but did not want to pay full price to satisfy that curiosity, well, we have some good news. The prices have dropped! This is sold and shipped by Amazon.com itself, not third-party sellers, and it is the first time the black model slides below the $250 mark. The silver model typically sells for a little bit less and it went under $250 earlier on.

Casio EX-S5 black delivered for $111

Competition has made cameras a lot more affordable. Who would have thought that you could get a stylish LiIon-based camera like the black Casio EX-S5 for just $111 with free shipping and handling! Well, now you can, because that's the price offered at Amazon by Amazon herself!

So how does this camera do? Well, that's a good question! The camera has been off our radar because we can't keep track of 300+ cameras at the same time. A quick Google search shows no reviews from the major review sites, however, after we looked at our Casio post archives, we discovered that the EX-S5 goes by the name EX-Z1 in Europe.

So, a new Google search for the camera has returned three reviews for it at:

And this is a great case in point where manufacturers are shooting themselves in the foot by using different names, because if people find no reviews about a camera, they are much less likely to consider buying it, because then it is a complete unknown!
