For the risk takers out there, the eBay Deals have an imported lens at a big discount, with just a 30-day seller’s warranty. It is the new condition imported grey-market white-box Canon EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM offered for $229 with free shipping with a limit of five per customer by eBay seller “Red Tag Camera” (99.9%). It ships from Brooklyn (NY) with over 600 units sold from this listing per the eBay data over there.
White box typically is when they take a lens out of a DSLR kit. Typically Lens + DSLR kits sell for less than buying them separately, and imported gear sell for less than authorized dealer gear. So there’s a double discount on this, the imported discount and the disassembling the kit discount.
Speaking of eBay, the Star Wars The Force Awakens BluRay + DVD + Digital set continues to sell for $17 with free shipping and free returns by Target’s eBay store. Over 11,500 units sold so far.
The Canon EOS C100 Mark II Cinema EOS Camera with the Dual Pixel CMOS functionality is now on sale for $4500 with free expedited shipping at B&H Photo. Please note this item is NOT returnable… For business customers, Canon offers a leasing program through Canon Financial, 0% on a 24 Month term or 2% on a 36 Month term. The PDF file over there has all the details… If you also need lenses with it, when you page down over there, you will see bundles with some common Canon lenses… If price-checking around, make sure you compare Dual Pixel and Mark II model prices…

It certainly takes a lot of onions to release a $500+ entry-level DSLR in 2016, but that’s what happens when you have much and more market share. Canon has a brand new entry-level D-Rebel, the T6, with prices starting at $550 for the with 18-55 EF-S IS II kit lens. Or an extra $200 (!!!) more bundled with the non-IS non-USM 75-300mm EF f4-5.6 III lens. These are available for pre-order at Adorama and B&H Photo and Amazon by Amazon itself.
This too has been added to the list of New Cameras of 2016.
Back to the eBay Deals, if you are comfortable with imported grey-market DSLRs without a warranty, the Get It Digital eBay store is offering the new condition grey-market imported Canon 6D body only for $999 with free shipping, with a limit of five per buyer. Over 2000 units got sold from this listing per the eBay listing stats.

Canon 6D Body + Pixma PRO 10 + Paper + 1yr Creative Cloud Photography Plan for $1150 after Coupon and MIR (AMEX GC)

The combination of coupon and rebate makes this a $4249 after rebate and coupon. Offer ends 3/10/16 or earlier if sold out.
CORRECTION: this includes the “Pixma PRO 10” printer, not the “Pixma PRO 100” printer!
The WPPI (Wedding Photography) Trade Show is under way [see Trade Show Calendar] and with that we have a new wave of specials. We start with the Canon Pixma PRO 100 printer. This is often bundled with Canon DSLR kits with mail-in rebates, but if you only want the printer and don’t want any of the DSLR kits, and you are still comfortable with mail-in rebates and prepaid gift cards, keep reading…

Back to the eBay Deals, for the more adventurous shoppers, there is a white-box imported grey-market lens without any warranty, it is offered by Get It Digital’s eBay store (99.6%). Ooops, the lens, the lens is the new condition Canon 18-135mm f3.5-5.6 IS STM going for $229 with free shipping with a limit of five per customer.
White box usually means it was part of a kit, but sold separately. If I put on my Miss Maple hat, this is probably how it came to be: they import Canon APS-C DSLRs with 18-135mm kits. Then they remove the lenses from the DSLR boxes, and sell the DSLRs as body-onlies on their own (“onlies” is plural of “only”), and the Lenses on their own.
So that’s why the price is so much lower, it’s an imported item without a warranty. Over 1300 units got sold so far, so there are a lot of people willing to take the risk, but again, don’t decide based on price alone. If the thought of potential future problems with lenses without warranty keeps you up at night, mayhaps it’s not worth the extra stress. We blog, you decide!
eBay is having another semi-curated sale (I don’t know how much they pick by hand and how much by computer, so I’m splitting the distance with the semi), this time they feature 133 items that comprised a Canon Sales Event. Due to time constraints I cannot go through the 133 items and price-check them, so this is a DIY adventure if interested. You can filter them a bit using the various options below the big banner picture over there.
Canon D-Rebel T5i with 18-55 IS STM and Pixma PRO 100 and 50pk 13×19″ paper for $400 after $350 MIR (prepaid AMEX GC)
Also bubbling among the featured eBay Deals is a more complicated offer from BuyDig’s eBay store. This one is a Canon-Pixma-MIR-AMEX offer, a mail-in rebate bundle with a $350 prepaid American Express Gift Card. This is a Canon D-Rebel T5i with 18-55 IS STM bundle that also includes the PIXMA PRO 100 printer and its accompanying 50pk of 13×19″ Canon photo paper (the razor/cartridges strategy). You pay $750, receive the order, make sure all is well, submit the mail-in rebates following instructions and deadlines, and a few weeks later you receive a $350 prepaid American Express Gift Card if all is well, making it a $400 after MIR promotion, and this a nominee for a runaway sentence 🙂
Canon also has a new instant savings promotion on 29 of their SLR/DSLR lenses and five lights (three speedlites, two macro lights). This round is good until 4/2/16. You can see them all nicely organized at B&H Photo. They are too many to list here individually.
Canon has a soccer/football team of Instant Savings on eleven Professional Camcorders with prices ranging from $1300 to $3500, featuring products in the XA- and XF- product lines. You can see all participating items nicely organized at B&H Photo.
It is Sunday in the eastern time zone and this means a new round of manufacturer-initiated instant savings for Canon SLR Lenses and Speedlites. A number of Canon lenses are participating. This round of offers expires 4/2/16. You can find the participating lenses nicely organized by focal range and categorized as prime/zoom at Adorama.
PS: I am “wrestling” with an under-powered laptop with a tiny keyboard, unfortunately I can’t post all the participating lenses one by one. But they are nicely organized at Adorama making it easy to skim and scan for potentially interesting lenses.
We have something that is a bit of rarity, a pre-order discount! The new Canon 1D X Mark II [see New Cameras of 2016 Tracking page] is coming out of the gate with two official kits. A body only for $6000, and a kit bundled with the Sandisk CFast card reader and a 64GB CFast card for $6300.
The discount now is on the CFast bundle, dropping from $6300 to $6000, the same price as the body only. So it’s like getting the CFast bundle for free. This pre-order offer is available at B&H Photo and Amazon itself and Adorama. Shipping estimates hover around tax season.

We have two back to back Canon-Pixma-AMEX MIR bundle offers from B&H Photo. We start with the Canon 5D Mark III bundle. You pay $3100 at checkout, receive your items, make sure all is well, submit the mail-in rebates while paying attention to instructions and deadlines, and a few weeks later you receive a $350 prepaid American Express Gift Card, making it a $2750 after MIR. For that, you get the Canon 5D Mark III with the Canon 24-105mm f4L IS, the Pixma PRO 100 printer, a 50pk of 13×19 Canon photo paper (to put the new printer to work), a 32GB SanDisk ExTrEeEmE SDHC card, a Ruggard shoulder bag, and an extra third-party battery. It’s another triangle offer, the Canon – Pixma – AMEX triangle bundle. You pay $1049 at checkout, receive the items, make sure they are all well, submit the mail-in rebates per the instructions and deadlines, and a few weeks later you receive a $350 prepaid American Express Gift Card by mail, making it a $700 after MIR. This at B&H Photo with a 2/26/16 at 5:30pm ET offer expiration date.
