Memorial day coupon special: $15 off J&R World IN-STORE

If you are in NYC, or you are planning to be in the area for the Memorial Day weekend, J&R World has a PDF coupon on the front page of their website so you can download/print a $15 off the purchase of $150 or more that you can use in their store. The coupon is NOT good for online purposes. In-store only! It is valid from Thursday May 21 through Tuesday May 26.

As with all coupons, it has a list of exclusions, so be sure to read it thoroughly (it's not long) before venturing out.

Ritz and Wolf brick and mortar clearance: some older DSLR deals

If you have some spare time, this may be a good time to check out some of the Ritz and Wolf Stores. Not the ones that are going out of business, but the ones who are remaining in business: they are having a yellow-tag clearance sale with additional discounts on top of the already discounted prices. Be sure to ask the employees to price-check potentially interesting items for you as the prices may be lower than they appear. This is for yellow-tag clearance items, not regular inventory. You could find some of the older DSLRs at cant-resist prices. Cameras such as the Pentax K100D and Super, and Canon 20D were spotted in the Ritz-n-Wolf land. Needless to say, your mileage will vary from store to store.

A new clearance sale is under way at Ritz and Wolf Camera stores that are NOT closing. Be sure to ask the sales representative to scan the prices of their current clearance items, because they have an additional discount on top of the listed price. Again, this is for stores that are NOT closing. As usual, with a big chain, your mileage may vary depending on the selection at your local store(s).
