The easier to find in-stock Panasonic Micro Four Thirds lens is the 45-200mm f4-5.6 these days, and you can get it for $283 with free shipping and handling at Amazon by Amazon.com herself.
As of 2:16pm EST on Friday (one day later), the price has returned to $800 and Buy.com is no longer the featured seller of this item. The previous status follows...
Breaking news! For $675 with free shipping you can get the Olympus E-P1 with the 14-42mm lens from Buy.com at Amazon.com.
The directly from Buy.com price has jumped from $675 to $800 as of noon EST on Friday. If this is a price experiment, this may be a sign that the experiment is ending? Or not? Obviously we can't tell for sure.
We are monitoring this at the deal alert at the main blog.
This is quite possibly the first discount on the Panasonic GH1 kit which was often selling above the opening price of $1500. Right now, you can get it for $1450 by Vanns on Amazon. Amazon herself has it for $1470. The remaining third-party sellers are at $1500.
You can also get it at $1450 with free ground shipping directly from Vanns.com.
For more on the camera, be sure to check the unified G1/GH1 diary.
It looks like a $50 discount is propagating among various retailers for the two-lens kit of the Olympus E620. This kit went as low as $720 at Amazon a few weeks ago, but since then, it returned to $800. But now a number of retailers, almost in-lockstep, have dropped to $750. Here they are:
+ B&H Photo
+ 3rd party sellers at Amazon
+ Adorama
The body-only and single-lens kits for the E620 remain at $600 and $700. But in terms of bang-for-the-buck, the Olympus E520 goes for $395, $452, and $532 for the three standard kits. And with the two lens kit, you also get a free $200 Philips 9.4-inch digital picture frame.

The Panasonic 20mm f1.7 pancake lens is now back in-stock at Amazon, sold and shipped by Amazon for $400!
We have just refreshed the Panasonic GF1 stock-status matrix, which shows the current situation. Unfortunately most items are out of stock at most retailers :(
The Panasonic 45-200mm lens is now back in-stock at Adorama, and it is selling for $284. This used to be $350 at Amazon just a couple of days ago.
A trio of 3rd-party sellers at Amazon are offering the Olympus FL-14 flash for around $100. These are Cameta Camera, Electronics Expo and Willoughby's. Price and availability is as always as of the time of writing and it is not updated magically.
This came out of our just-refreshed Olympus E-P1 stock-status matrix. The camera kits themselves remain steady at the $800 and $900 price-points. Olympus has yet to discount them!
For more on the E-P1, be sure to check its list of reviews, and also its mini-blog.
The Olympus E3 body only kit has just had an $80 price-drop! You can get it for $1120 with free shipping and handling sold and shipped by Amazon.com, not 3rd-party sellers.
And you also get a free digital picture frame from Philips ($200) if you buy it together with the E3 in the same transaction. You get it free in your shopping cart in the Checkout page. There is nothing to mail or submit. Please note that in order to get the free digital picture frame, BOTH items must be sold and shipped by Amazon, not 3rd-party sellers.
Meanwhile E3's deputy, the E30 is holding steady at $900, also sold and shipped by Amazon. However, you don't get a free digial picture frame with the E30.

If you have been looking for the Panasonic GH1 kit at its standard price of $1500, we have some good news for you! The camera is in-stock and shipping from OneCall.com where you can also get a free camera bag by entering the coupon code TREAT during checkout. For the same price ($1500 with free shipping), but no free bag, you can get it from Amazon.com itself, along with Adorama. Both offer free shipping.
Last night, Vanns.com had the camera but they are now out of stock.

If you had been holding out for the black Panasonic G1, we have some great news for you! Amazon herself, not 3rd-party sellers, has dropped its price for the black G1 to $621. This is actually lower than the red and blue kits at Amazon. On top of that, you get a free 4gb Transcend SDHC card. The free card is only if both items are sold and shipped by Amazon. You can get this promotion at this Panasonic G1 promo page.
Not to turn this into a stock-market blog, but this price drop is also of note because the G1 had established a price-bottom of $640 at Amazon, J&R World, B&H, etc, which resisted any prices below that mark.
The above is for the camera sold and shipped by Amazon herself. If instead you prefer the absolute lowest price, third-party seller "6ave" is offering the black and red G1 kits for $576 and $586. No free memory card from the third-party sellers however.
As usual with third-party sellers at Amazon, or any retailer for that matter, be sure to do the appropriate research. We present the latest price drops to you, but we cannot make decisions for you. We are not the Apple app store :)
For more on the G1, be sure to check its list of reviews and unified G1/GH1 diary.
Sure, there's always going to be a newer camera, always selling at list price at first, and then another one and another one and another one. But if you need a camera now, be it your first DSLR or an additional body, or perhaps are interesting in experiment with the K-mount or Four Thirds, there are a two-lens kit offered for each mount for $530 right now!
First up, the storied K-mount offers an affordable entry-point for the bang-for-the-buck photographers with the Pentax K2000 two-lens kit going for $530 with free shipping, sold and shipped by Amazon.com itself! That's right Amazon has it back in-stock! The lenses are both DA-L.
Next up, Four Thirds time, with the Olympus E520 two-lens kit. Not only do you get two lenses, but you also get a bonus 9.4-inch Philips digital picture frame for free. The price is $532 with free shipping, sold and shipped by Amazon.com. In order to get the free Philips picture frame, the camera must also be coming from Amazon.com, not any of the many third-party sellers that do business at the Amazon website.
Each one of the aforementioned camera has a replacement that (as usual) costs more and offers more. On the Pentax side, the Pentax K-x is generating some early excitement, but it costs $750 in a two-lens kit and $650 with the standard 18-55 lens.
Similarly, on the Olympus side, there is the E620 DSLR, which goes for $800 for a two-lens kit and $700 for the standard one-lens kit. And you don't get the free digital picture frame which goes for $200 on its own.
You can research each one of the aforementioned DSLRs at the DSLR Review Organizer.
