Pre-order: Nikon D7100 body for $1200 [updated]

The newly announced Nikon D7100 APS-C dSLR is available for pre-order as a body only for $1200 at Amazon.com with a March 21, 2013 release estimate. It is also available for pre-order as a kit with the 18-105 DX VR for $1600 at Amazon.

If the name D7100 sounds familiar outside the world of cameras, it is perhaps the Denon AH-D7100 headphones that ring the bell.
