How to make the most of this blog
Time for a quick break from the deal stream with some tips on how to make the most of this blog:
+ you can quickly check the latest specials by manufacturer or camera mount or type (refurbished, open-box, lenses, mirrorless, coupons, etc) at the top of each page, by checking the gray area with the red links
+ on the front page of the blog, during each new calendar day, we move expired deals at the bottom of that particular day, that way the top of the page shows live deals, and the expired deals are clustered together below. It makes it easier to quickly scan the page for potential items of interest
+ links to the Daily Deals and Special Offers pages of various retailers can be found in the Sidebar of the blog, about one page-down from the top, right below the search box
+ prices and availability of cameras can change at any time. The text in the blog posts cannot be updated automatically when something changes. A good rule of thumb is that the further away in time you are from time/date of the blog-post, the higher the chances are that price/availability may have changed. That is one of the reasons we use a blog for this since every post has a time and date associated with it. We try to update as many as we can, but we can't get to them all all the time, especially if they are on-going specials that don't have a "built-in" expiration date.
+ there is a full-text full RSS feed and also special interest RSS feeds (eg Canon, Nikon, etc). The special interest RSS feeds are subsets of the full RSS feed, they do not have additional specials. If you subscribe to the full RSS feed you get all the specials posted.
