Deal follow-up: Black Friday pre-paid Visa cards have arrived!

Remember the Black Friday Sandisk memory card pre-paid Visa card rebate promotions with really good prices by the online Ritz/Wolf? We bought some memory cards, partially so we can monitor their progress for you. Today, after three months, we have received our gift cards. We even double-checked with the website to make sure the balance was right (and it was).

These cards came on their own. Other than checking the status on the rebate website a couple of times, we did not call them or demanded their immediate delivery. We bought this with a personal account, so they have no way of knowing the purchase was related to this blog, so we did not receive any special treatment.

The website for checking the balance of your Visa card is very simple, you enter a CAPTCHA code first so they can make sure you are human, and then you enter the card number, and the site displays your current balance.

The pre-paid gift cards have a relatively short lifespan, the ones we received have an expiration date of June 2009. Time for a mini-shopping spree before we forget :-)

I guess this qualifies as a rebate-program-review as well :-)

There is a new Sandisk-Visa promotion going, if we notice any good (after rebate) prices, we will be sure to post them now that we know that the cards will eventually arrive without nudging and screaming and grinding.
